Newer hotel - maybe still working out a few kinks but nothing to stay away from. Room was clean, pool area floor could be cleaned a bit more often. Staff was friendly, we had 2 rooms - one no issues, one had light switch cover off as if they had just finished painting and didn't replace. I was able to put it on and notified front desk as fyi. Breakfast was solid for hotel breakfast. would stay here again.

Staff was excellent and helpful, room quiet and clean. Blackout curtain did not work, some workmanship in bathroom was poor with unsealed cracks. First room that was assigned was not cleaned so we were moved to another room. Breakfast was good. Shopping and restaurants available closeby.

The hotel is brand new, can still smell fresh drywall etc. This adds to the rating because everything seems clean and fresh but the workmanship of the building is terrible. It looks like it was slapped together by random people off the street.
The little staff that was there was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well stocked and clean with a bit of variety from one day to the next. There was coffee and tea available 24/7 which is always appreciated.
There were minor annoyances about the hotel like a lack of blanket for the pull out couch (this should be clean and available in the room if you book a suite always) when we asked for a blanket for our daughter they said they gave them all away. Thankfully we had brought a small one from home. Also our 6 person suite came with 3 towels. Obviously I can ask for more but if I have a room for 6 people for two nights, 3 bath towels clearly isn't going to cut it and it's inconvenient to have to go wait in line at the lobby for towels. Same goes for the pool, you had to ask for towels. This might help cut down laundry but it seems to big down front desk staff.
Overall it was a nice stay and I'd return if we needed to stay in the area. Close to target and Meijer and Culver's amongst other shopping and quick eats.

I arrived at the hotel to check in and there was a lady in line complaining about her room (I wasn't sure of the circumstance at this time). The man at the counter told her sorry for the inconvenience and sent her off to another room.
Then it was my turn. I told him I was there to check in and he proceeded to tell me there were no rooms available. I asked how this was possible since I had already paid for the room through a third-party site (Hotels.com). He kept asking me if my reservation was under a different name as they had another guest staying who had the same last name as me. Mind you that person had not yet checked in and they didn't have a room available for them either!
After going back and forth with the front desk, the manager via phone with the front desk and hotels. com for over an hour the hotel finally admitted that they had given our room to the other person that had the same last name and gave their room to the lady that was in line complaining when we arrived. Come to find out when she went to check into her room someone was already in it!!
So, in other words they are over booking and not keeping track of who is getting what room!
The man at the front desk and hotels.com tried their best to see if there were any other hotels available in the area but everything was booked as it was a holiday day weekend.
Never once did the manger ask to speak to us or offer any kind of compensation just "I apologize for the inconvenience" which doesn't do me any good after driving 4 hours and no place to stay.
We wound up sleeping in our car for the night and driving back home the next morning. Other events I had booked in the area had to be cancelled last minute without a refund.
A lot of time and money wasted for the hotels mistake.
