Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, our room was lovely with a beautiful view looking over the river l'Ill, It was at a time when there were floods in France so the river was running very fast flooding the terrace in the beautiful gardens. It didn't matter the gardens are just wonderful, breakfast was served in the garden, it...

Hospitality at its best. Worth the money spent. We treated ourselves to this unique experience combining it with a gourmet dinner at Marc Haeberlins Auberge de l'Ill. We loved the ambiance, the tasteful interiors, the little hideaways on the premises, the way food and drinks were presented. You do feel welcome from the very first moment. Everybody in this family...

It used to be that you had to stay somewhere a distance from the marvellous Auberge de L'ill restaurant in Illerhaeusern, however now you can stay at the fabulous and idiosyncratic hotel des Berges, which is just a few steps away. The rooms, both the bedrooms and the sitting rooms are cleverly designed so that you have every comfort in...

The Hotel des Berges' main attraction is the Micheline Three Star Restaurant which, as can be expected, serves an extraordinary culinary menu. Quite an experience! The Hotel itself is quaint and is situated in a small town right in front of a river. There are more impressive bucolic surroundings to visit but the staff is pleasant and helpful. Again the...

Each room in this boutique hotel is different. Our junior suite was very spacious and elegant. The country setting makes for a very quiet stay. Breakfast was sumptuous. Auberge du L'ill, the 3-star restaurant run by the same family, is a very short stroll away.

This charming hotel enjoys a beautiful setting along the Ill river. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, especially the ecletic suites. The breakfast on the patio by the river with exquisite pastries and other delights is a highlight of any hotel stay. The Inn is family owned and provides charming and friendly service. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night in the Fisherman's cottage on this gorgeously situated property. The hotel is located in a tiny village in the midst of farms on the banks of the small river Ill. The grounds are meticulously kept, there are flowers and trees with intimate decks and terraces. We had a fabulous lunch at the hotel's restaurant and...

Hôtel des Berges This small family owned hotel shines brightly in the crown of the Auberge de l'Ill. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and charming and do actually smile a lot- which is not standard in France, unfortunately..- My room (number two) was very tastefully decorated as is the whole hotel. The room had a good and working a/c,...

The Hotel des Berges is situated in the heart of the small village of Illhausern, in Alsace, between Colmar and Strasbourg, in the garden of the Auberge de l'Ill. Marco Baumann and Danielle, his wife, have created the spirit of an Alsatian farm with its tobacco shed, particular to this area of the Ried. Eight bedrooms, four suites and the Fisherman's Cottage will immerse you in a country ambience of Havana scents. Staying at the edge of the Ill river to find again authenticity mixed with the real pleasure of a family's tradition...this you find at the 5 star hotel, where each bedroom has its own decor, its own ambience.
