We stayed in La Perla as a couple and with a group of other friends for an overnight trip in Leon. The hotel is gorgeous, very nice Spanish Colonial style with handmade local furniture and very nice staff. The breakfast, which is generally includede in the overnight rate was great and they served fresh juice and local coffee. There are...

I stayed at eh hotel with my 5 years old daughter for 2 nights. The rooms were nice and clean and so was the hotel. The breakfast was really dissapointing and so was the pool. It was dirty and the staff didn't know what to do, it was so hot, my daughter was eager to splash in the pool. It...

We hosted our wedding at La Perla in Leon, Nicaragua in January 2011. The hotel is beautiful, and the city is very interesting. the staff at the hotel, including the owner Jim, could not have been more helpful. In particular, I remember that a staff member named Maria took me to the doctor and then all over town looking for...

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past and have had absolutely great experiences both times. Our last visit was from July 2nd through July 9th. It is obvious from the moment that you walk through the gates that this colonial style hotel has been painstakingly restored and is beautiful. We really love the sunny...

Hotel La Perla is one of the best hotels in León. It is a gorgeous neoclassical building at the very core ot the town. The rooms are clean, but spartan. They could hardly match a '3 stars' hotel in Spain (I'm a spaniard). They are not that quiet (most of them have windows to a inner patio, and have no...

Thanks for your review. I have not been to a three star hotel in Spain, therefore I can not respond to the reviewer´s comment. We have two rooms on the second floor that have doors that open to the patio, we also have rooms with no windows and very thick walls. Many of our business clients perfer these. Please request...

It isn't the cheapest place to stay in Leon but if you want to splurge a little, this place is perfect. I'm not sure about the other reviews of mediocre service but my boyfriend and I had excellent service. They were attentive and provided us with everything we needed and spoke English (we knew a bit of Spanish so this...

La Perla is ideally situated in a city that offers surprising attractions and energy. A beautifully restored and maintained colonial mansion, La Perla is gracious and elegant with excellent staff and extremely attentive management/ownership. The food is reliably fresh and appetizing (not every dish is accompanied by gallo pinto), and the mojitos are well worth the wait of careful preparation....

One of the best aspects of owning our hotel is that we have an opportunity to meet "the best of America".. In this case , the reviewer has a son who lives in Leon and is helping the people of Nicaragua on a full-time basis. We have many health care professionals, dentists, doctors, and many other Americans who help the...

We stayed in the Presidential Suite and I felt like royalty. The service, and the friendly staff were matched by the luxurious surroundings and the great food. Our first day we chatted with locals who made us feel welcome and suggested local venues. Our bedroom was so spacious and comfy we didn't want to leave! Leon is lively and even...

I always try to learn from our clients..I have found that tripadvisor members generaly provide a balanced review; and most interact with the hotel management and try to correct any issues; therefore making their hotel visit more enjoyable. None of the hotel management were aware of these issue with this client. Here is the action we have taken as a...
