So I got sick when I was in this hostal, and the girlfriend of the owner was the sweetest with me. It is not fun to travel solo and get sick, so her help was something I am still greatful. She went out to the pharmacy for me and made sure that I get better. I think this is what...

I really loved hostel El Albergue. I was here for 3 weeks and really loved the atmosphere. Guests are so chill and everyone gets together for dinner and lunch. They have a nice kitchen where you can cook and socialize, and they have a patio, which is typical Nicaraguan, where people sit and relax after a day in the sunny...

I slept here for a couple of nights and I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and laid back. They have breakfast included which is nice but the best thing I liked was the fact that they have a kitchen. Really enjoyed cooking all the exotic fruits and vegetables from Nicaragua. We had some great common...

Just stayed one night but I liked the place, small and cozy. I did not have locker that would fit my whole backpack but as there were just few people it felt safe (and there was small locker for the valuables). Highly recommend.

Laid back, relaxed & chill atmosphere, friendly (and quirky staff), and close to -- but not in the total thick of -- the hustle and bustle of the city. The outside garden and grapefruit tree is a real plus (especially when the grapefruit are falling). I particularly appreciated the staff's flexibility with breakfast; it goes officially until 10am, and they...

Our hosts were very nice and hospitable. When staying in hostels, remember you get what you pay for! For $20 for two us, we had a clean bed, a decent bathroom with shower, and free parking. We stayed for two nights and left our car securely parked within the gates of the hostel. We were gone for almost an entire...

One of the best hostels in leon. Was very chilled and had a very relaxed vibe. Is very close to the city centre and to the local market and supermarket. The hostel offers very competitive rates for tours and shuttles. The hostel was very clean and the staff were very welcoming and informative. Would definately highly reccomend this hostel to...

The place was pretty cheap and so I guess you get what you pay for. I stayed in the dorm next to the reception and my bed was full of bedbugs. I informed the reception at night and moved to another bed. Still there were bedbugs. The next morning i told them again. However they said and promised they will...

Dear Guest. We are confused about your comment because we have gone through our register book of guests and spoken with all of our staff, and we all recollect that you left the hostel the same day that you checked in without telling our staff that you would not return. So it completely without any credibilty, your story of the...

I stayed at this hostel for a few nights and was absolutely charmed by the whole decor of the place. It has a very laid back style, with plenty of communal space. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and there is plenty to do around town. The hostel is situated in a nice distance from the center, which makes...

It's smack in the middle of town, so it's got a nice relaxed environment that is only made more relaxing by the beautiful paintings and environment they created. Dorms cost the same as everywhere else, which is super cheap by the way, but the place is far from feeling cheap. There's places down the street with similar prices that just...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lonely Planet says about: Hostal of Albergue is a hostel in León-Nicaragua offering a tranquil and genuine Nicaraguense environment. Really, really great hostel! It is the only backpacker place with a complete Nica staff & Nicaraguan ownership that I have found in León. They have all the services that foreigners expect, and in addition all the local knowledge about culture, politics, etc. that most other places cannot provide. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and very interested in conversing about both Nicaraguan realities and eager to learn about the rest of the world. I'm really glad I stayed at the Albergue! Fron our guest...Our services is really complete and include: Kitchen Breakfast Internet Computer Safes deposit box Book exchanges Coffee Te Coupons for movies Welcome and enjoy León............ ... more   less
