I really enjoyed staying at this hostel! Always something to do and the volcano boarding was a lot of fun!! Would have being good to go twice but you do get a beer when you get to the bottom! There is a cheap shuttle to there sister hostel on the beach and we had a fun afternoon drinking there! All...

Hi Jay Thank you for your review. Yeah some people want to go twice but not the majority. Most of the people are happy sliding once and get their cold beer and a cookie. So what we decided to do to be fair is that if someone wants to go again the next day we only charge 1/2 price. Our...

We stayed here for one night on our way to Granada. We wanted to stay two nights but unfortunately there weren't enough people going on the night volcano trip so they didn't run it. We arrived here and it was heaving with a younger crowd who were playing drinking games and en route to a bar crawl. The hostel was...

HI Kate Thank you for taking your time to give us your feedback! This is the only way to improve. Ok so about the party hostel you are definitely right we are a party hostel until 11PM and then people have the chance to sleep or go to another bar. I don't know which room you are talking about to...

I stayed at BigFoot Hostel for one night... but that wasn't the original plan. While visiting Masaya, I reserved a spot for me and my girlfriend to go Volcano Boarding at 9am the day after we arrived in Nicaragua. Our rented home was supposedly an hour and a half away from BigFoot Hostel but it unfortunately took a little over...

I stayed here for three days this September. The room was $8.50 but it was buy two nights get the third free so it was cheaper than that. The hostel was buzzing every night and the music all day long was absolutely spot on. They do lots of tours and the volcano boarding one is a must do (look it...

Very bad private room (the worst of my trip trough central america), for 25$ you can definitely find better somewhere else: dirty walls, broken shower, no windows, bad humid air... it's like this kind of motel room of very bad movies. And moreover not comprehensive or helping welcoming policy: when I arrive at the hostel I was not sure yet...

We where kinda sick of the restaurant food, french fries and all that. So coming here was great. That good home stay feeling with home made food. Boat trips to the surf, and good atmosphere. If you want to surf fun waves and have good experience this is a good choice.

Dope weekend at Bigfoot Hostel. Tons of fun and a lot of good people. Definitely check out the Volcano boarding, and the Bigfoot Beach Shack in Las Penitas. Tom was a great Volcano Boarding leader and I'm definitely planning on going back.

You need to pass by Leon to live the experience Bigfoot. I meet really good friends there and everybody are welcome like a part of a big family. The rooms, showers and toilets are clean.... To not say shining. You also need to try the lava shot challenge that is unique from Bigfoot. A lot of fun in Leon !...

Stayed here for two nights and went volcano boarding with them which was heaps of fun. The hostel itself had a great social vibe, although the rooms were a little warm. Wifi is a bit shoddy and doesn't really reach the rooms. The reception guy was nice though he seemed to be taking things a little too easy and would...

Not a bad place to stay in Leon. Met some cool people and had a lot of fun. The food could use a little upgrade, but I didn't expect much from a hostel. If you are there you have to go with bigfoot to Volcano board. After checking out the other places, Bigfoot is clearly better and give free drinks...
