I can absolutely recommend Hotel Arkanchi. Friendly and knowledgable staff (speak English and German), nice spacey room with good bed and bathroom. And an amazing breakfast, the best we had in Uzbekistan. So much to choose from... Recommend this one!

For a 3-star hotel it couldn't be faulted. Our first-floor room was comfortable, with an attractive view, and staff were quick to provide missing items, a bed-side lamp and a bath plug. Room service was prompt. Wifi a little slow but reliable, didn't reach all parts of our room. The location in central Khiva was ideal. The hotel was crowded...

This is quite a reasonable hotel in a good location for all the Khiva sights. My room was just off the tiled lobby, however, so I had to put up with all the echo and noise from this area, and could even hear the receptionists talking in the middle of the night. Being a ground floor room, there was a...

Located in inside of Ichan Kala, all historical monuments are around you. Very friendly staff, confortable, correct rooms with cold and hot water distribution whole the day. We enjoyed rent a bike and do biking tour in inner and outside of Ichan Kala.

The hotel is located right inside the old city. At night, the whole place gives off a very oriental and eastern vibe. Throughout the whole city people sell souvenirs, and the sellers are very kind and hospitable people. The hotel is beautiful in its simplicity, and its location just makes everything so much better.

No better place to be found to visit Khiva: inside the city walls, at walking distance of everything. From the outside it does not look very attractive, but inside it is clean and quiet. Mattresses have been replaced. Very friendly and service minded personnel, the great manager speaks well English. We also enjoyed a very fine dinner. The only drawback...

I see that most of turist were glad staying in the hotel Araknchi. But there are two hotels named Arkanchi in Khiva (I know it from our guide). In the end of April 2014 I have stayed in the hotel Arkanchi for two nights. It has a perfect location but it was not a good hotel (comparing with other hotels...

Came here on the taxi driver's recommendation and it is in a great spot in Ichon Qala with views of the wide short minaret annd the green domed mausaleum. It could be a great hotel, large rooms. However the hot water only comes on till 8am in the morning and again at night, if you ask the manager will probably...

Khiva is magical in the evening when the day tourists have left, the shadows are long, subtly coloured lights play on the walls of gorgeous buildings and there are enough good places to eat, sip green tea or have a beer. This hotel is perfectly situated: as soon as you walk out you're in the heart of Khiva, yet it's...
