hotel is bland, but the rooms OK i suppose. Best thing about the hotel is that you are right at the south gate into the city which is a quiet entrance. Food OK. As with many other hotels in Uzbekistan, the sites are so fabulous that you put up with hotels that might otherwise annoy you.

This hotel could not be more different from the ancient city just outside of whose walls it sits. Khiva is splendid, so worth the visit. The Hotel Asia Khiva is anything but splendid, it is bland, dull, uninteresting, ignorant of its profound location. The grounds include a haphazard toss-about of beige two-story barracks-like buildings housing blah rooms with no single...

I had Room 23 which was a nice size with a pool view. The a/c was good, which is important as it is very hot. Bed linens were very nice - in fact the nicest during my stay in Uzbekistan. The room had twin beds. As for location you can’t do better than a hotel across the street from one...

We were fortunate to be given a room facing the city walls. The hotel is clean and comfortable the only downside being the plumbing in the shower - it was v difficult to get any cold water through the system in our room. Our friends did not encounter the same problem. Don't eat at the Art restaurant ( the full...

The big advantage of this hotel, apparently run by the president's sister, is its location, just outside the south gate to the inner city. It was clean, though the plumbing is barely adequate. The food is made in vast quantities for the large tour groups and has a heavy Russian quality. Don't eat there.

The Asia Khiva hotel is located just outside of the old city - walking towards the entrance gate only means crossing the parking lot and a small street, perhaps 50 meters. Being outside of the city walls is a good thing for this hotel: while it is all very modern, marble tiled and glitzy, it is a bit of an...

Small two storey hotel with 42 rooms. Well situated within the old city walls for the sights of Old Khiva. Clean and comfortable but no heating. Staff attitude and service both very good. Can recommend it.

We are doing a private tour with a car and driver through Uzbekistan, organized from Australia. This hotel was chosen by our tour company and as such I don't know the price. As previously stated by others, this hotel is located just outside the old city walls, near the south gate. Its a large complex presumably getting great use by bus...

International style hotel, nothing todo with the splendid city archtecture. Outside the city walls, meaning a five minutes walk in the dark (i.e. no lights) from the main sites. Rooms are defo overpriced compared to what we got in the country- by far the most expensive and surely not the best staying. Open inlow season (probably the main merit and...

This hotel is ideally located right outside one of the gates of the old city walls. I came in low season and didnt think to ask to change my room to one facing the walls. From the hotel lobby you can see the giant tower of the old city. Staff was friendly, room was comfortable. Breakfast was mostly pastries and...
