This guest house is no more. Although the family may rebuild, they have not even begun yet. They also lost their thangka shop. I actually live in Changunarayan and have a guest house nearby. Ours is earthquake resistant and held up quite well. Changunarayan is a lovely village, whichever guest house you stay at. Unfortunately, most of them have fallen....

This little guest house has something special. It has a very knowledgeable person to show you the temple, village and can even take you on a cultural trek of villages surrounding Changu. You can see monkeys in the trees as you sit on the rooftop eating, and it's the closest guest house to the temple so you can experience the...

This guest house has a nice rooftop restaurant and only two rooms. I love to sit up at the restaurant and listen to the people at the temple signing and playing their instruments. You can see people coming and going and there is a very nice view of the area. It's wooded and I've sat there watching birds in the...

“This is an authentic village experience you can have without going outside the Kathmandu Valley. It's a beautiful village and cooler in the summer because there seems to always be a nice breeze. It's also above the pollution line so the air is nice.”
