OMG! I am blown away with the venue, beautiful rooms, spectacular environment, rooms filled with fresh flowers, detailed & elegantly decorated. It's Heaven! Paradise. The four course dinner tonight is scrumptious. Both beautiful presented and delicious. Definitely a place to relax, recharge or spend time with the one you love.

Was looking for a wedding venue , would of liked to see the place.we were very unwelcomed at the gate and due to the cold welcoming we decided that we were not interested. I made my feelings known to the person who was being rude to us in a civil manner. There after we phoned the owner Manie to let...

We visited for dinner to celebrate a great event being my father in laws 92nd birthday. We were met by our very charming host, Manie, who took exceptional care of us. The castle is a true reflection of the wonderful artist and sculptor he is. Beautiful rooms exquisitely furnished with lovingly restored historic South African furniture. The table setting in the...

Flycatcher Castle is owned and operated by Manie who was the most gracious host and talented sculpture. Flycatcher Castle also hosted a romantic engagement weekend for me and my partner in which this venue had everything and was the perfect backdrop for such an occasion. The food: Manie erves the most amazing 4 course dinners and was happy to accommodate...

Not for children or narrow minded bigots. Please do not bother. My wife and I had a great evening there, entertained and fed by Manie - what a wonderful evening. The value for money is OTT and I would have paid double had he asked. The castle itself, while a little forlorn is beautiful and the decor is of another...

A total different experience than the traditional hotels. Wonderful food is being served at one large table, which makes the interaction easy. The host is extremely friendly and he invites you in the kitchen to socialize while he is preparing an exquisite meal. The hotel is decorated in 1920 style and the bedrooms have all the comfort you want. Worthwhile...

We stayed at the Flycatcher Castle while my wife rode a four day stage race in Graskop. Now not much happens in Graskop and other than Harry's Pancakes ( completely overrated in my opinion ) there is very little else in Graskop. Being here for 5 days we wanted something homely and boy did we find it. The castle is...

After your drive through the low veld, pine tree forests and the mountains and then the small country town of Graskop, the last but very last think you expect is a castle at the edge of town overlooking the open "veld" and forest. As you come around the corner and see the towers of Flycatcher Castle you know, that you...

This venue is one of the most beautiful (and most unexpected) places I have yet stayed in. A grand baronial castle, complete with it's own chapel, beautiful gardens, magnificent artwork and statues, and the most accomplished and attentive host. Our room was magnificent with a larger-than-kingsize bed and a grand bathroom in one of the turrets of the castle. There...
