We spent a couple of nights at ongava. We had 2 game drives in Ongava and 2 in Etosha (it is right on the doorstep). Our guide, Frans, was really knowledgeable and when he discovered my interest in birds showed us so many different species. The best has to be the Paradise Flycatcher which nests around the lodge. The main...

This is a luxury camp. The rooms were amazing. The food and wine were great. The view of the waterhole and we saw rhino's and even a giant porcupine! Wonderful. Can't go wrong here! Wibke the white Namibian hostess was totally professional. And the rhino tour the next morning totally delivered!

We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our guide Francis was great and took us to Etosha twice and once in the local park for a Sundowner. He was very knowledgeable and we would ask for him again if we ever return, which we would like to do The food was exactly to our taste - cooked...

We arrived in Ongava lodge from Damaraland, which was amazing. The lodge is on the side of a small hill with good view over the area, but nothing spectacular. There is a watering hole close to the veranda where the rhinos, zebras, elephants and lions come at lunch time or in the evening. Very spectacular to watch them from the...

The Ongave lodge is one of the highlights of our trip through Namibia. We stayed here for 2 days, but I could stay here for 4 days!! A lot to see, good rangers and a lot of animals. At around 19.00 hrs you can go to a block-house, where you can see the animals drinking at a distance of 10...

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. The food and drinks were great and we had a great guide for an evening safari on their reserve that exceeded expectations - 9 young lions with 3 cubs were the highlight. The view from the lounge was stunning. Did think allowing smoking in the lounge was a bit off. The chalets are...

We thought this place was a lowlight during our trip in Namibia: There is no tranquil seclusion as suggested by the propoganda of this place: -Smoking allowed in the lounge -Loud telephone conversations and skype messages on speaker are allowed in the lounge. - Maid diisturbing entering the room while resting, because she wanted to put on the mosquito net. She...
