Being in Etosha helps make the day(s) of driving more rewarding. The waterhole itself makes staying here above average. The beds in the waterhole chalets were nice and comfortable by African Rest Camp standards. We slept well. The accommodations were cleaned each day. Very basic. No complaints.

Nicely decorated bedrooms, with a small seating area and small bathroom with shower and loo. Picnic area has good braai facilities but it lacks benches near the braais. Comfortable single beds. A lovely open water hole which was very popular with the visitors but insufficient benches when the camp is full.

I stayed here twice in a 2 week period. The rooms close to the waterhole were comfortable, beds very comfortable. We also stayed in the premier rooms with 2 bedrooms, and a balcony with great sunset views and views of the waterhole. Best waterhole with lots of animals coming and going.

The fact that it's our 5th visit might make it obvious that we like Okaukuejo. Set in the middle of Etosha National Park this is not a lodge, it's a rest camp, and a big one. You have the option to camp or stay in their accommodation. We chose to stay in a Waterhole Chalet; semi-detached, single storey rooms set...

This was my third stay at Okaukuejo and again we thoroughly enjoyed it. The camp has a very good waterhole with seating and it is floodlit at night so you can go and watch "African TV" before and after dinner. I was travelling with elderly parents who appreciated the accessibility of this water hole from their room and the lack...

The campsite was really poor. Dusty, not well maintained, too little facilities for too many people ... to cut it short: I wouldn't go there again. BUT the waterhole is really excellent! The possibilities to see animals are among the best in Etosha NP! I guess they just don't need to take care of the campsite. Therefor I'd recommend go...

We always like to stay at Okaukuejo because of the fantastic waterhole. The camp itsself offers different options for ground tent and/or roof tent and chalets for non-campers. Staff at reception nice and friendly and yes, it takes a bit to get everything sorted. Camp sites come with water, electricity and a braai facility. The ablution blocks are in good...

We camped for 3 days at Okaukeujo Camp. As the camp is close to a main gate it is extremely busy with a constant flow of large volumes of overlanders touring vehicles. Due to an extension of camp sites there is limited amount of bathroom facilities. Shade at the camp sites is very limited. As with all the other Etosha...

We stayed in premier waterhole chalet which is very comfortable.we had a great view waterhole from the room. We saw 7 rhinos drinking. Unfortunately the staff welcome is very poor and the food was not good.

Okaukuejo's main selling point is the floodlit water hole from which we saw rhinos by the dozen and all sorts of other game at short range - fantastic. The luxury accommodation close by also looked amazing. Unfortunately we were staying in the more basic rooms - no room to swing a cat and with a tired shower room. This is...
