Dolomite Camp is in the far west of Etosha. We drove from Okaukuejo to Dolomite in a day, seeing good game along the way, including two male lions resting at the side of the road. The west is not as iconically 'Etosha' white as the rest of the park, and there is quite a bit more water around Dolomite Camp...

We stayed at this lodge before leaving Etosha national Park through the west gate. Accommodation is in separate bungalows that sit against the mountain side. The views are beautiful with a spectacular sunset. The higher location on the mountain, however, can make it a bit difficult for people with functional disabilities. The Lodge is managed by the NWR (Namibia Wildlife...

We were really lucky and were allocated lodge #13, it is the best & has a private plunge pool on the veranda. I think it also has the best views because it looks onto the waterhole. It is a bit of a hike from the restaurant, bar & pool, but it does have a fridge so you can take drinks...

We first stayed in Dolomite camp 5 years ago 2 weeks after it first opened and it was a fantastic experience, the flagship of the NWR camps in Etosha. Our last stay in September 2016 which we booked a year previously was just awful. On arrival we were given our room which was on the western side. We had specifically...

Dolomite camp is one of the most stylish lodges I have been. The view is awesome. It is a pity for such a amazing place that the service is very poor. They need to do also some repairs. I really miss a proper manager who is looking after everything (including the details, like broken zippers at the tend...) When you...

It is surprising to see the negative comments on this lovely property run by the NWR which had nothing in common with the NWR place we stayed in Okakeujo. We thought it was heaven. The place is very vertical--you have to park your car at the bottom. A lovely man came right away in a super golf cart to take...

We would recommend other travellers to stay only one night instead of the two we are staying. The camp is stunning, perched on a hill above the far western plateau of Etosha. We saw a lot of wildlife, the most amazing of which was a family of elephants waking us up from an afternoon nap by making noises outside our...

Slightly above average. This is a government run camp in the National Park. They claim to have wifi but we couldn't even get email--Pretty much a joke. Camp is on the top of a dolomite ridge and any walk up is very steep as are the interior trails to the widely dispersed chalets. They do offer pick up and drop...

We stayed here for one night. The tents all have beautiful views of the plain, and you can see animals coming and going. I gave this an average rating because, we had three rooms for our group, and they all had various things wrong with them, ours had problems with the doors to the balcony, and the others had broken...

Dolomite Camp is a relatively new addition to accommodation in Etosha National Park with a stunning location on a high ridge overlooking a waterhole below. We had an excellent game experience, particularly with waterhole visits where we saw large numbers of animals and birds coming in to drink. However, the accommodation and service was below expectations with chalets poorly maintained...
