Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

the lodge is on qaroon lake which gives a great view especially in sunrise and sunset.
the houses is designed in good way, but the place is a bit dirty, and we were alone in the whole village with the staff.
we were a group of male friends so we didnt mind the low level of cleanliness in the place and we enjoyed it more than we enjoyed our first night in zad el mosfaer, due to the good view.

We had a 2 double bedroom booking for me, my husband, my teen daughter and 11 yo son. We called the host the previous day to inform him about our arrival the next day. When we reached there was nobody there. Looks like abandoned ruins. Dirty, broken down place. We were trying to call the host, no answer. We saw a young boy, but he disappeared before we could talk to him. We saw the toilets, there was waste left in them and the floor was flooded. The chalets looked like nobody lived there for decades. We could peek into the kitchen which looked dirty and abandoned. We left and looked for a different place. Avoid at all cost, unless you really dont mind where you are staying. There are some really lovely places around for similar price, I recommend to pay a little bit extra, and have a clean place where you won't worry about your survival.

Room Tip: Should not be allowed to advertise as a place to stay. It looks filthy and unsafe.

I was so sacred at night from rats on the room top. The toilet was very bad. The view was really good, looking over the lake but everything else was bad. The stuff was young teenagers. Finally we were stolen by them. They stole my husband's underwears !!!

Rust, dust and more. The "chalet" is a two-rooms crumbling hut, dirty, or better: filthy. The toilet was disgusting. There was just a weak green light in the bathroom and the flusher had no water. The whole chalet was covered in dust, there were dirty spots on the tables and in the sinks. Window covered in dirt. The "terrace" was a mere court leading to the entrance. The swimming pool was not available as "it is too cold for Egyptians to swim". Luggage service (and possibly cleaning) is run by a 10 yo child. Impolite staff. Disappointing under all aspects.

Rats and cockroaches racing with each other all night inside the rooms. Roof is NOT on the wall directly, so you sleep somehow outside. The water from sink and shower is UNFILTERED water from the lake. Colou: yellow. Smell: no comment. We stayed there 3 days. every day there was 11 hours no electricity, and also the water pump didn´t work, so no yellow shower. Could not leave the lodge as wanted after the first night because of the food poisoning i got there (i threw up many hours and all this without water!!!). My only and most horrible accomodation experience ever!
