Liked the idea of staying in town as we were traveling on a motorcycle and kind of like to park and walk to dinner, shopping etc. When we checked in there was no one at the desk, but a sign informed us that they were busy with housekeeping and we should call the number on the sign and someone would...

Love the area , but finally have someone to share it with. Ramsdell is clean and comfortable. The other hotels in the area dont compare to the character of this place. great beds and pillows.they supply bathrobes. shuttle on in to the casino or cruise to the waterfront.

My husband and I stumbled across this boutique hotel on our way thru Manistee. We booked the Jefferson suite as we sat in the cozy pub in their basement, TJ's Pub. The bartender brought us our keys. We couldn't have been happier with the room. The view wasn't much, but they had the electric fireplace going and a bottle of...

We had a very nice clean room but not great. It was a warm early Fall evening and the hotel had shut down the A/C for the season. We had to open the window to try to keep cool. There were no screens and the traffic noise was annoying. They had wifi but it was too weak on the fourth...

Thanks so much for your review. This lovely building is remarkable in its design..its walls are 20 inch thick granite! I promise we have tried to offer a great experience, however some of the modern conveniences such as WiFi arent perfect. We continue to strive to improve your experience..and are so pleased that you would return!

What a lovely little gem of a hotel! We stayed here in late July passing through on our way to Traverse City. We did have trouble finding someone to check us in as the front desk is usually not staffed (which makes sense at such a small hotel) we were told to check in at the pub. After 13 hours...

Beautiful room great location. Grew up in Manistee. But unfortunately very noisy.Didnt get any sleep due to bar noise. And traffic noise. If there were new windows with sound proof would make 100% change.Would love to try it again if it was quieter.

We are glad you enjoyed the space and thank you for your review. A month ago we added additional air conditioning units in each room. To accommodate the demand for further cooling. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning but, with west facing windows at times gets overpowered by the sun. After sunset it quickly regains coolness. Check in is...

We stayed there for 1 night on our way to Traverse City. What a beautiful old building. Our room was beautiful and very clean. There is no elevator, so carrying the luggage up was a workout, but well worth it. We had dinner in the Bar below the hotel. The food was great and affordable. Our room was very quiet....

The rooms are clean. And comfortable. But you will not sleep. Why? Because the rooms are atop a bar that is loud and the traffic is ridiculously loud. The high cost of the rooms is simply unwarranted given the sound problems.

In response to this review. This customer is a very competitive cyclist desiring an early bedtime. He choose a downtown location on a summer evening and expected silence, and I do mean silence. We have never had a noise complaint regarding our pub. Our building is constructed of brick, mortar and steel. The pub level is a full 2 stories...

Located in a former bank building, the Ramsdell Inn is a unique lodging experience in downtown Manistee.
