Hubby and I snuck away for a long weekend and stayed in "The Wilderness Room" at the Deer Head Inn - oh my gosh, what fun! Beautiful (and comfortable!) king size bed, with a stained glass window behind us. Large suite which extended into the bathroom area, with one of those two sided gas fireplaces heating both sides. Hard wood...

We stayed in the room pictured on the TA site. It was two rooms with a private bath. It was extremely clean and the bed was decent. It did have very nice linens. We enjoyed the "stars" on the ceiling of the sitting room. The breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, eggs, and many accompaniments. We enjoyed speaking with the...

Nancy (a practicing attorney) and Barry (the innkeeper extraordinaire) were welcoming and gracious hosts! Parking is a bit tricky ... on side of house down an alley. Full payment is expected as soon as you arrive and check-in. Home was decorated nicely with lots of little-touches that added to the experience. The location of this B&B, as many have noted,...

We stayed in the Bear room for two nights. The owners are so wonderful and talkative. Sharing conversation with them and the other guests was very pleasant. The house is decorated very tastefully and meticulously. The beds were very clean and soft. The towels were very soft also. The room is very cozy and perfect for two. Breakfast was delicious...

Barry and Nancy were delightful hosts. The room was very clean and attractive and the breakfasts were over and above what we expected. Nancy even shared recipes for the delicious treats she created. We enjoyed getting to know our fellow travelers at the shared breakfast table. When we told them our next destination all had helpful hints and Nancy even...

The inn is just steps from shops and the ferry to the island. The house is beautiful and very clean. The hosts are very nice and knowledgeable about the area and had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The breakfasts were delicious, eggs Benedict were my favorite. The only suggestion I have for them is to...

We had a lovely stay here! Our room (Hemmingway) was very clean with modern appointments, including a memory foam bed, a selection of pillows, wi-fi, fireplace, DVD player and whirlpool. Very comfortable and up-to-date even though the house is 100 years old. Breakfast was delicious both mornings, and Barry and Nancy were welcoming hosts, making sure all of the guests...

I would reccomend this place. The innkeepers were very friendly. Nancy was outgoing and interesting. We stayed as a fmily 3 siblings and parents. We had 3 rooms. All three rooms wer clean and tidy. Many books and reading material in the common area. The only thing I'd have asked to be different is possibly a coffee maker available in...

We stayed in the Hemingway room -- meticulously decorated, every detail carefully considered, beautiful furniture, large space, very clean. The Inn is ideally located near shops, restaurants and the ferry. The set up of our room surprised us. There is no door between the bedroom area and the sink, shower, and tub. Only the toilet has a door for privacy....
