The manager was extremely helpful since I had reserved a cabin that would not have accommodated 3 people (although I had there was 3 of us in the booking app). The location was awesome. There were grills available to use as well as items in the office if you didn't want to eat out the whole time. We used the pool and hot tub as well as sat on the beach. It was a quick stay but would like to return someday.

We had 8 adults, 7 kids, and 2 dogs in 4 different cabins - Martin ensured we each had exactly what we needed from an always dander free room to fast access to the beach. Waking up to those Lake Huron views was fantastic.
The available fire pits and chairs made gathering and s'mores roasting so convenient, and there was a perfect view of the fireworks on Friday evening.
We had an issue with one of the rooms, and Martin took care of everything to the best of his ability as quickly as possible.

When you stay at the Beach House Cottages, you feel like you go back in time. The cabins are nostalgic and make you feel like you were transported back to the 1940s. It's a true Mackinac time capsule that has been untouched by "progress" and "modernization."
You will get an actual key on a key chain to unlock your cabin door and you won't find a room phone. Just like it used to be.
As you sit on the sandy beach, you just stare off into the distance to Mackinac Island and watch the boats come in and out. There are fire pit rings, chairs and a few wood swings.
If you're looking for a genuine up North experience and a place to make memories, this is the place for you.
One of the best features of this place is the host. He is very friendly, accommodating and always there is an issue happens to arise.

The Beach House hosted a large group of family and friends visiting Michigan. We stayed in cabins at the Beach House and had a great time. Special shout out to Martin as he helped us navigate the area - info on tours, shuttles, how to transport a bike :-) , etc. Martin has done some great work with the facilities - everything was excellent. Martin's flower beds are amazing, they are beautiful and well cared for. We would stay at the Beach House again. Thank you!

We stayed in a beachfront cabin with 2 queen beds. It was clean and cozy with beautiful views of the water. Stepping outside we were right on a beach with clear and shallow water, great for swimming. There are several swings and chairs on the beach to enjoy the view. Sunrise views were amazing! The indoor pool was warm. We stayed a second night in the family room, which was an upstairs unit. The family room is huge, has 3 queen beds, a seating area, large bathroom and closet. Although it is not directly beachfront this room has a private deck with views of the lake. The hotel is located a short drive from all of shopping, restaurants, and ferries.

I highly recommend this spot in Mackinaw City. The cottages are cute, comfortable, clean and cozy. Just a few hundred yards from a private beach, these cottages offer the best in terms of privacy, relaxation and comfort. Martin the hotel manager was wonderful, helpful and friendly. He knows the area well and will go out of his way to make sure you have what you need. The beach has fire pits and on a clear night you can see the stars. Free shuttles will take you to either of the ferries. The jacuzzi was out of order when we came but Martin gave us vouchers to visit the jacuzzi next door at the water park.

Just a note for newcomers, the kitchenette only has a mini frig and microwave and a normal bathroom-like sink. There's no range or disposal.

I really hope to come here again and wouldn't think twice in choosing it over all the other hotels down the road. It's character and charm was just what we needed for a relaxing, carefree vacation. Thank you Martin for everything!

Nice hotel, not a 5 star resort but a nice clean cabin right on the beach. The issue I have is the manager Martin is price gorging. The same EXACT cabin was priced at 198.00, 298.00 then 398.00. Same night, same exact cabin. There are 5 of them. He told one guest he asks 398 per night if no one complains he books it. one guest also paid for the 198.00 per night cabin but another family checked in the night before and agreed to pay the 398.00 per night so he stuck the original guests that booked the cabin on the beach weeks before in a cabin in the parking lot. Telling them they got what they paid for, then the guest in the parking lot cabin compared his reservation with ours and saw he was moved and the price wasn't reduced for a lesser cabin. Stand up for yourself. Make sure you get what you pay for. We did and we were right on the beach

We love the Beach House Hotel!! Ask for cabin 2 for a larger family. The beach is just steps away and Lake Huron is beautiful and clear. The caretaker Martin was awesome and so helpful. The cabin was immaculate which was important during a pandemic. It takes you back to when you were a kid, going to a lake cabin in the North woods, but still modern enough and private for comfort.
WiFi worked better than anticipated, but your kids won’t be on their devices as they can play on the beach or in the pool. Not even a mile to the ferry boats and all the downtown Mackinaw City shops and restaurants.

We loved our stay at our cabin. We were welcomed by name when we got there. The cabin was clean and fully stocked. The manager made sure we had everything we needed for our weekend stay, he even went above and beyond to make sure we had extras to Accommodate for our motorcycles.

We have stayed at this location previously. It has been a few years and apparently there are new owners. The beach is horrible. The old owners used to clean the beach every morning. Now you have grass growing on the beach and weeds everywhere. The volley ball net is placed in a dangerous location. The kids couldn't safely play volleyball due to the cement slab located within the beach right in the middle the the play area.

Robin....I take great offense of any accusation of window peeking........my husband has never done this or been accused of this....you should get your facts straight....The complaint was made 9 years ago...while under another ownership. There are no excuses needed to be made...you did not like the Beach House...fine...but do not slander us. We turn lights on and off each evening and morning...on each individual cottage..Robin.. I do not understand .your mean spiritedness.. You were not happy...and did no communicating with us at the time of your stay.... To accuse Russ of peeking in windows is so bogus and complete slander...
