Clean and updated motel. Upon entering the room you could smell how clean it was. Rooms have windows that open. The windows open and it was nice letting the breeze in. The owners and workers were friendly. This motel will now be the place we stay when we visit Mackinaw City. You can walk across the street to the lighthouse and park near the bridge. It is also within walking distance to the Colonial Michilimackinac. It’s a must see museum when visiting Mackinaw City. No free breakfast but there is a mini fridge so we brought our breakfast items. We also drove to Starbucks just down the road. There is a pool and hot tub but we did not use it. I would highly recommend this motel.

Location, location, location! This is an older (but VERY well kept up) property literally steps from the lighthouse, Fort Michilimackinac, and the Mackinaw bridge, and a couple of quick blocks from downtown. We were told that it had been remodeled about 18 months ago, and I believe it. The enclosed pool and hot tub were beautiful and a nice bonus as well. Smaller rooms, but would not hesitate to stay here again!

We were just passing through and needed a clean and quiet place to stay with an indoor pool. This hotel fulfilled that. The room was spotless, very large and super quiet. The pool was a little chilly but we still had fun swimming and then relaxed in the hot tub. We will definitely stay here again when we pass through!

I was going to book a room at the Super 8 next door, but after reading multiple reviews of wet carpet and musty smells, I decided to take a chance on the Lighthouse View Motel instead. This motel got better reviews and it was still the location that I was looking for near the bridge and fort. We only stayed one night while passing through to the U.P. but I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was recently updated. Our room has new bedding and furnishings. Upon arrival in the time of Covid, the window was open to prove that they cleaned and aired the room out between guests, which was reassuring. The bathroom is older, but it's clean, no mold, nice water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water.
The location is great. You can walk across the street to view the bridge, go to the beach, or tour the fort. It's a short walk into town for bars and restaurants.

Older ma and pa motel with some updates to rooms and direct to outside entrances. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping staff was very friendly and efficient. Ability to open window for fresh air was a plus but a bit scary for us city folk (did it most nights). View of lake and Mackinaw Bridge was somewhat obstructed but pleasant anyway. Parking in their lot was sometimes very tight but available.
One concern was access to the outside while on property. One picture on the website shows 2 chairs and a small table outside each 2nd floor room. They have been removed. This limits the ability to sit outside on the property to 2 tables next to the office, facing the road. This was a negative for us, especially in northern Michigan. This picture needs to be removed as it shows an amenity that is not there.
Overall a nice stay for a week while exploring northern Michigan. Would we stay at this motel again? Based on the limited outside access, probably not.

Marivic was very friendly and helpful. Stayed open after 10pm deadline to accommodate us. The house keeping staff did a wonderful job. 6 stars! Great location. Across the street from the lakeside park. Walking distance to Audie’s Family Restaurant.
If you’re ever in Mackinaw city, this is the place you must stay.
There’s something to be said for lodging that has no vacancies while everyone else nearby has vacancies.
Keto up the great work Petersons and staff.

I can not say enough about this motel. I was skeptical booking a private owned motel due to staying at chains. This motel was amazing! Great location across from the lighthouse, bridge and park. Just around the block from restaurants and shopping. The room was bigger than most rooms. It was modern with USB plugs, satellite tv. The beds were comfortable and had a variety of pillows. The shower was great too. The ice machine always had fresh ice. The pool and hot tub blew us away. It was indoors and crystal blue. Towels were available to use. Everything we came across was clean. You can tell they take great pride in their hotel. Checkin/out was a breeze. Cant wait to stay there again. Highly recommend. You won’t be sorry.

PERFECT little place. The location was fabulous with the ability to walk just about anywhere, in town and even to the dock. Right across the street is a fantastic park with views of the bridge and a small beach. The room was super clean, beds were very comfortable and parking was a breeze. Having the ability to open the window was a huge plus to get that lake breeze.

Spent 2 nights at the Lighthouse View. Rooms were very clean and the motel is well maintained and staff were very helpful. Great location near Ft Mackinaw Park and easy walking distance to the ferry to Mackinaw Island and restaurants in Mackinaw City.

This was a great little place right in front of the water and bridge. It was within walking distance to downtown and close to restaurants but yet quiet and peaceful. I loved that it was super clean and had a family atmosphere. The pool and hot tub looked very clean too. Nothing fancy about it, but so cozy.

There were a few different restaurants that there were coupons you could use. I specifically remember Darrow’s and Audie’s, but I believe there were others as well.
No there was none in our room, the bigger ones might have one. Call and ask the owner, he is very nice.
It's a limited view from most angles. The motel is across the street from the bridge and lakes and colonial fort. So not ideal for great views, but still very convenient and accommodating.
There is a coffee pot provided.
