This motel is extremely quiet and peaceful while still being close to the heart of Mackinaw City. The private wading beach is perfect for young children to play in while their parents relax. All though we had no issues at all, knowing that the hosts were onsite was very reassuring. The hosts were friendly and genuinely care about their guests.

Finally – a motel owner who understands that when you have 4 guests in the room you need 4 towel sets! This was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, and at a very good price too. We had a beautiful view of the lake from the balcony, and we could go walking along the beach which several hotels shared. The owner was very helpful, obviously enjoying her job and customers very much. The room was particularly nice. There were several different ways to sit around it without having to sit on the bed the whole evening. Breakfast was in bags because of Covid.

This is a place to which I will return. Clean, comfortable room, with very comfortable bed and everything we needed, Staff was helpful and friendly, even to the point of contacting a free shuttle service to take us to the ferry. Location on the lake was a big plus, and the private beach area included a fire pit. This is my new favorite spot at Mackinac City.

The only place I will stay when we come to mackinaw city. Lori and dick run a tight ship around there the rooms are cozy and comfy the view from the beach is amazing seeing Mackinac island and the bridge at the same time. The customer service is amAzing there so friendly around there we love this little hotel definitely going to stay there for a long time to come.

This was a last minute booking. We like to stay at independently owned motels. The room (#17) was reasonably clean, but very old & in need of updating. There was hair on the bathroom floor & in shower, from the previous guest. We had a jacuzzi room. The jacuzzi’s hot water faucet turned on by itself and ran from 2:30 am until we checked out. No one answered phone during the night when we tried to call. The woman at front desk seemed unconcerned when we told her the next morning. We would not stay here again.

If u are looking for a privately owned motel in Mackinaw City this is the place to come. It is right on the water. They have 2 jacuzzi rooms one on the waterfront and one court side. They also have 8 rooms right on the waterfront as well, and also have a family cottage with everything you need.
Their owner Dick is the best and has been in the business for over 30 years. The staff they have working there is very friendly and the rooms are always clean and they will always help in any way they can to make your stay enjoyable.

This is our first stay and it was fantastic! This is a independently owned motel 33 years I believe the desk clerk has been there 22, coffee in the lobby all day free, snacks for sale as well as water and soda. Walking in you feel as you are in your home, the rooms were immaculate noise level was fantastic balcony was super clean with a table and “4”chairs. TV was a little small but worked great, we did have a Lake Front View as described but could have seen the Mackinaw Bridge clearly but there was a tree blocking most of the view, you had to move all the way to one side to get a look. Room number was 118..Thank You we will be back for sure

My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint, clean and affordable privately owned motel. I was greeted by a warm, friendly and welcoming manager (Lori). She put us in a lovely Lake Huron facing lower unit with a large balcony that overlooks Mackinaw Island and the Mackinaw Bridge. For the money…this places is fantastic!

When calling for availability, I specifically asked about wifi and if the sink was in the bathroom or in the room. They said yes we have Wifi, and no, the sinks are in the bathrooms. Well, no wifi for the 3 nights we were there, and yep, the sink was in the room, not the bathroom. Room was small, with no landing places for luggage. The bedding was new and comfy. Bathroom could use some updating, but hot water and shower was ok. AC, TV, and fridge worked fine. No breakfast, but they did offer coffee in the office.

Right on Lake Huron, this property has beautiful views of the lake and the Mackinac Bridge. Rooms are extremely clean. Beds are some of the best we've ever found in hotels. Manager was very helpful and friendly.

Thank you for your interest in the Beachcomber Motel On the Water. Our light continental breakfast consists of Coffee, tea, orange juice and apple juice, 2 kinds of dry cereal, assorted flavored oatmeal, english muffins and 2 kinds of bagels. Hope this helps to answer your question.
