This property is fun because if you secure a waterfront room, the lake is accessible right outside your room. But….. the two pools and the hot tub weren’t working. 5/6 in our group wanted the pools. We should’ve been informed about this. Second, the inside of the rooms were clean but outside on the walls and grass, it was dirty. There are bugs, cobwebs and goose poop everywhere. I’m an outside person but it was gross. Lastly, my cc was charged before I even arrived. I don’t appreciate that. I’m not sure I’d stay at that location in the future.

There is a group that own 4 motels in a row. We were booked at the Bridge View Motel and it was not acceptable. After hours and demanding our $ back, they gave us a room at the Sunrise Beach Motel. The view is amazing. First floor is a better option, but we were glad to get out of the Bridge View. Staff is amazing. They were very accomodating after we came to an understanding. The cleaning staff are quite the characters, they bent over backwards to make sure you had everything you needed. The building on the side, not facing the water, was very small and dated. Good if you were staying a single night, but not for an extended stay. We enjoyed our stay at the Sunrise Beach Motel.

View was great and staff friendly. Bathroom needs to be updated with new flooring and cleaned. Mold behind toilet, cob webs in corners, chairs needed to be cleaned. Lobby to check out doesn’t open till 8 am. I would choose a different hotel if we came back.

The beach view from the lakefront rooms is gorgeous. There's a covered outdoor patio outside the sliding door, the staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was wonderful. The room was very clean. The price was very good. I'd planned to stay one night and decided to stay two! Would definitely stay here again.

When Sue and her husband owned this place we stayed every year at Labor Day for years. Sue kept it clean and everything in working order. Dated, but nice, a real Labor Day deal! Sue sold and we went elsewhere for 4 years or so in Mackinaw City. This year we decided to go back. A HUGE MISTAKE! We stayed in the room we always stayed in before, and NOTHING has changed. I doubt the windows have been cleaned once. The towel rack in the tiny bathroom was clinging to the wall by a threat, having previously been ripped out. Now just pushed back in the holes in the wall. The lamp shades had huge holes in them. The advertised wifi? It didn't work. The room was clean, and we did not have the spider issues everyone else complains about, but our neighbors did. The hot tub? The good news the water was hot. The bad news it wasn't working. The filter covers on the bottom of the tub were removed and filled with paint chips from the tub bottom and sides. The pool hot tub area has had nothing done to it in the years we've been gone. Use it at your own risk. When we asked about the hot tub we were told that it still works, it just doesn't bubble????? After hours, no one manning the office. We paid almost $300 per night for a room here, because it was Labor Day weekend. We will not be back here again. The place needs to be torn down, and completely replaced. The positive reviews of this place are bogus. You have been warned.

We were scheduled to stay at the Sunrise Motel on Friday and Saturday but were actually put in the Bridgeview hotel. The view was still great so we thought we didn’t mind. Started out with the pool was empty, no ice machine, TV and internet didn’t work. ( which we were told was out for every hotel in the county this was not true.) We still thought it would still be okay for at least a night. When I took a shower the little bit of steam caused the smoke alarm to go off until the maintenance man came and took the battery out. ( which he is was a very nice man, and seemed appalled with the condition of the room) We then discovered black mold everywhere. In the toilet, the shower, the lamp shade. Having 3 young kids one being asthmatic we decided to leave. When my husband went to the office to tell them we were leaving and would like our money back he was in line for over an hour. While he was waiting 2 other people who had just checked in came back into the office to say their rooms were filthy and beds weren’t even made. During his time in line there were at least 10 people waiting to either check in or complain. We knew this wasn’t going to be a 5 star stay but there is no way in the Summer of 2020 I would consider staying here. The hotels include Bridgeview, Bells Melody, and Sunrise Beach.

Tiny outdated room. Do not stay here if you can help it. Cement floor in shower. Cold water in sink did not work until husband turned it on underneath sink. Stubbed toe on antique toilet in miniature bathroom, and broke toe so will be cutting vacation short. Originally booked at Sunrise Beach Motel but management changed us to another property called Nortwinds Motel. Never again.

Clean place, beautiful location, efficient staff. Nothing fancy. The room was right on the beach, and the sunset view is just as beautiful as the sunrise view of Mackinac bridge. Ice machine not working, assuming due to Covid

Started some nice updates but a long way to go. Small and inexpensive details missed. Room not clean. Cobwebs and toilet not cleaned. Furniture and refrigerator very worn and old. Outside light dud not work. Shower did not work. Top for water resivor on coffee maker missing. Non heated out door pool but could use heated one at another property. That manager sent me to waterpark which was in serious disrepair. Hole in roof. Would not stay her again even with beachfront

Our family tries very hard to support "mom & pop" type places, but this was SO NOT WORTH $80. If I didn't laugh I would've cried. They first tried to put us at another motel two properties down the highway. It was atrocious and felt very unsafe and beyond horrible. I have never in my life told a motel/hotel I could not stay in a room, but I did this week. I went back and said that room would not work. They then put us in a room at the actual Sunrise Motel. Insides of lampshades peeling off, electrical outlets in bathroom didn't work, light over my bed didn't work even with switching out bulbs, no wifi that we could figure out. Beds were clean and comfy, and I didn't see any bugs, but oh my goodness. Just no. We will try Rainbow Motel or somewhere else next year instead. I'm not going to stay somewhere really rough just because the view of the water is beautiful, and it seems that they feel that makes the quality of the rooms okay. No. And, all the pool chairs were dirty and cracked when I went for a swim.
