My cousin and I stayed for just one overnight end of August. We don't know why but we got an upgraded room, facing the end of the harbor. Two double beds, sofa, coffee table, easy chair. Small bathroom, but no surprise, since the hotel was built in the 1850's. We bought a package that included the room, breakfast, RT ferry...

This is one of the famous hotels here on Mackinac Island. People here are nice. The hotel itself is simple but beautiful. We love their pool though it is small. They do have a nice view of the lake as well.

We stayed there on our honeymoon many years ago. Came back 25 yrs later and there were many renovations but still had the quiantness of it's era. Love the views over the front porch. The staff and hosts were very cordial and helpful.

I was so happy when we arrived at the hotel to see what a lovely place it is. The location is perfect. It is a very short walk to main street and the view is gorgeous. The hotel has a huge wrap around porch with rockers and tables to enjoy the view. Our room was quite small but it is...

This was our second time at the Island House Hotel. The first time we had a room on the side of the building with a slight view of the water, but the room was charming and we enjoyed our stay. This time we bought a superior 2-night package with a front room facing the water, dinner, 2 breakfasts, bike rental...

I had a conference at Grand Hotel this past weekend but their rates were too much for my budget. I shopped around as we were 2 adults ad 2 kids. I wanted a quiet, big room to accommodate our family of 4. They gave me room 409... I say the room number as its somewhere I would stay again. Quiet,...

We enjoyed our stay at the Island House. It is away from the main bustle of the island, which gave us some peace and quiet. The pool and hot tub were refreshing. Nice porch to sit in a rocker and drink a coffee. The room was decent and the staff were accommodating.

This is our 3rd year in a row staying at the Island House as part of our yearly family escapade on Mackinaw Island. We are stuck with staying with the Island House as our hotel of choice since it offers the location (not too close, not too far from downtown), amenities and Old Victorian Charm we enjoy, but not at...

Stayed three nights as a single as part of a group visit. The location is excellent, across the road from the harbor but away from the frenzied downtown. The public areas are comfortable, particularly the front porch which offers several rocking chairs and an area with tables and chairs for picnicking. I ate several meals in the hotel dinning room...

I stayed here for one night and that was enough. The room smelt musty and the wallpaper was peeling. The room itself was quite small and the prices are outrageous (think $300+). The amenities that were offered in the room would not even equal what you would get in a 2 star motel. Breakfast was not included - while it...

“Make sure when you take advantage of a package, check to see if it is per night, or per reservation. I stayed multiple nights, as the offer was per night. When I arrived, they didn't want to honor it. I was fortunate enough to have printed off the offer and reservation and brought it with me. ”
