I had booked a 2 bedroom suite for this past October 8 months in advance plus aid for the first night. It was unfortunate that when my ex and I separated, and the room was in my name, my ex canceled my room. Now fortunately I was on the island 2 months prior to the reservation and checked in on it....

Our suite was large, comprised of 3 separate areas (beds, bathing/prep, kitchen/recreation), clean, and very charismatic; not to mention the view from the balcony was gorgeous. Check-in was prompt, efficient, and helpful. So the price we paid for the room was rather adequate for the quality we received. However, do not expect to be wooed by the service in the...

We stayed two nights in room 219 that faces the street. The room was quiet( off season) and very clean. Front desk was helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The pink pony, hotel bar, is a popular place to drink and sit while watching the street action.

I've always loved the pink pony great music. Location is great. Beautiful views from rooms with balconies. Our room on top floor was huge and beautiful. But -and it's a big but- it might be the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Truly. You can't sleep and can't relax in your room in the am past about 630 or 7...

The rooms were fabulous. Truly enjoyed our balcony. It was nice to sit on it and just enjoy the view and while reading a book during a rainy day on the island. All the staff were very helpful. The restaurant even opened a bottle of wine that I had brought with me. Only problem was that the Jacuzzi was closed.

First time staying overnight on island. From the moment we stepped off of the ferry welcomed by Josh to take our luggage to the hotel to the milk and cookies delivered to our room at 7pm.... was a most excellent first time stay and cannot wait until next fall to do it again! My only complaint is that some sort...

Macinac Island was a wonderful trip...it's truly a step back in time. The Chippewa hotel was very nice and upscale. We slept very well! The hotel is on the waterfront in the rear, and main street in the front. They have a wonderful full service restaurant, The Pink Pony, in house.

The rooms at the Chippewa are lovely. They're clean, well maintained and very roomy. And if you're lucky enough to stay on the harbor, your view is spectacular. (Although that location has a wonderful 360 view-scape.)

Staying at the Chippewa for the 3rd time. We were very happy with the last 2 stays. Great experiences. This time we are in a ground level suite, next to the jacuzzi. Lovely room, but there is a horrible sound of metal friction coming from the public bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. Literally sounds like a horn being blown in...

We stayed in a huge suite with a balcony which faced the water, it was clean and well set up for TV, sitting, reading, etc. Everyone was super nice and Josh took care of our luggage to and from the ferry, we never had to lift a finger. We also had a great time playing Trivia in the Pink Pony,...
