Ludington State Park has it all....large camp sites...miles of sandy beaches. clean clear water...well marked hiking trails... paved bike paths...Lake Michigan sunsets, sand dunes. great fishing... light house tours...river tubing...a huge bath/beach house and a variety of wildlife. We saw whitetail deer and wild turkeys up close. The town of Ludington is only 7 miles away and offers great restaurants,...

This park is absolutely the best in the state! The camp store is well stocked and priced well. Oh and the best part they take plastic :) Bathrooms cleaned daily and when we went no matter the time of day you had a HOT shower. Trails are clearly marked. Tons of natural beauty all around. I do recommend taking a...

This is by far the most beautiful state park I've been too! The sunsets and lighthouses are amazing. One downfall is that the part of the campground we were in was pretty crowded and felt like we were on top of each other but other than that it was very nice!!!

Hands down the best Michigan state park we have been to. Three campgrounds with three bodies of water to choose from. Lots of trails, boardwalks, and paved paths. Took us 3 tries to get in but we'll worth it, we will be booking this one again.

We've been going to Ludington State Park for several years now as part of our annual summer camping. There are so many things to do that it is hard to fit everything in on a weekend. We have kayaks to take down the river into Lake Michigan, or to paddle into Lost Lake and on to the dunes on Hamlin...

We stayed at the State Park, Pines campground for 5 days. We had a ball. The kids were entertained all day long with the water, waves and sand dunes. The weather was perfect in Mid-July, mid 80's during the day low 70's at night. The campsites were pretty sandy so the inside of our camper was as well, but it...

This park has something for everyone and for every season. Beach has has been recently redone and is beautiful. Big with bathrooms and foot washing areas - just missing a full body outdoor shower area. Beach right in front of house is always packed. We went toward the right a little and found our own little spot to build sandcastles...

Took our family here on a Thursday an it was delightful! Girls had a blast in the sugar Sand beach, while mom and dad got such much needed r&r! Ample parking was nice so we didn't have to walk forever to get to the beach, there were volleyball courts, and the beach house had clean restrooms with ample room for...

This state park has it all- and then some! I booked a campsite two weeks out and got the last site available. I was convinced it was probably the worst site in the park, but I was so excited about visiting the park that I didn't care. Boy, was I wrong! There is not a bad campsite in the whole...

You can't go wrong here period. 6 miles of sand beach on Lake Michigan, canoe, tube, home, bike, and more. Miles of trails and completely family friendly. 3 campgrounds and beautiful. We camp here every year, it's a staple. Just go and you'll see why it's so hard to even get into.

“You can't reserve specific sites, so get there as early as possible. Even numbered sites in the high 200's to the low 300's are on the shore of the lake, and are the best IMHO.”
