We happened upon this cozy old farm house on our Anniversary Road Trip. This was our first B&B experience and it was beyond our expectations. Terrick and Denise are fantastic hosts. They make you feel comfortable and right at home. A wonderful breakfast, great cookies, the room is exceptional (the jacuzzi was the icing on the cake.) We will be...

This is my third stay at Shady Rest, and every time I go to pack my bags I wish I was staying longer. If you are looking for a romantic getaway this is the place! The Maple Room has a king size bed and sunken tub that I am in love with. The beds are amazing, the food is incredibly...

We just spent our third year at Shady Rest B&B and will be back again next year. These owners go 'out-of-their-way' to ensure your stay is comfortable and private. There are several porch and dining areas in their lovely country home. So matter what your mood, there is a porch or sitting room to fit. Keurig coffee and beverage/snack bar...

We stayed at Shady Rest last July, and I had forgotten to write a review. The service at most places does not warrant leaving a review this late in the game, but I would be remiss to not praise this place! The kindness and graciousness of the owner was evident right away. We mistakenly took a wrong turn on our...

We had a wonderful first bed and breakfast experience here! Was very peaceful just outside the bustle of the town, Denise made delicious breakfasts, and they had complimentary snacks, ice cream, home made cookies and drinks. The rooms had private baths, all very clean and comfortable! Hosts were very personable!!

We recently stayed at this B & B and found it to be quite nice. The home was extremely clean and well kept up. The breakfasts were very good and served in a timely manner. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay. Our only disappointment was that our room was not made up during our two night stay. We...

My daughter and I stayed at the Shady Rest for 2 nights at the beginning of August and it was amazing. This was our first trip together at the Shady Rest. We arrived to the smell of chocolate chip cookies that our host Denise was baking in the kitchen and she immediately made us feel right at home. Our room...

My fiance and I stayed at this place last weekend, for our annual trip to the Lexington/Port Sanilac area. We loved this quaint little home, and Denise's cooking of breakfast in the morning was fantastic! Tarik and Denise were wonderful people. Very clean, very comfortable, just the perfect place for us. And I highly recommend paying a few extra bucks...

Shady Rest was a cute little Bed and Breakfast a few miles down the road from all of the areas summer activities. This was my first stay at a B&B and I couldn't be happier. The owners were excellent, the food was amazing, the room was in perfect condition, I slept very well, there was a good selection of movies...

What a amazing place. From the first time I talked to Denise to book our room she made us feel welcome. The grounds are great, the "24 Hour room" is stocked with snacks, coffees, pop and water and then there are the fresh baked cookies!!! Now let's talk about the room. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have...
