We have stayed at the Laurium Manor Inn several times over the last few years while our son has been at Michigan Tech. Our experiences have all been wonderful. Not only is the architectural and historic significance of this property interesting, it's also an admirable preservation effort on the part of the owners to take on inn keeping in an...

I love to see historic places like this maintained and available for us to enjoy. We spent a pleasurable day here. Staff were exceedingly helpful and kind. Owner was there and visited with guests and was very generous with information. Our room was fine, but if we stayed again, I think we would go for the master bedroom. Very quiet...

This is just not that good of a B&B and appears to be run with less than a passion for hospitality. We stayed in the part of the inn that is across the street from the Larium Manor which is run by the same entity and part of the same business, apparently. While it was old and possibly interesting from...

It seems to me that the writers of the review"B&B without soul" have a particular idea of what a B&B should be and the Laurium Manor Inn is not it. This is not a "two suite" B&B like the reviewer apparently runs; rather this is 20 rooms/suites in two amazing old mansions, and they have heart AND soul. These could...

We stayed at the Laurium Manor recently on a driving trip through the UP. We were looking forward to staying at a charming old inn but ended up with a negative feeling about the place. If you read the review from the b and b owners in Wisconsin, you will see what to expect. They have laid it out completely...

We stayed one night at the Laurium Manor Inn. Very old renovated manor. Claw foot bathtub and a very small TV in our room. We slept very well and it seemed very quiet. The ONLY downside is that there was no coffee maker in the room and NO coffee available until 7:00AM in the morning. If you are an early...

My boyfriend wanted to stay here because he is a descendant of the original owners. We were not disappointed! It was beautiful and peaceful. The rooms were full of antiques and history and the Inn Keepers were kind and informative. They even had a book with my boyfriends family history in it (including his name and family members) that they...

A friend and I decided to try this B&B while in the keewenau peninsula, somewhat by default...most area hotels were booked. We are very thankful for the circumstances that led us there. We stayed in a second floor, two room suite, furnished with beautiful period furniture and furnishings in the Victorian house across the street from the manor. Each room...

We were in Room #1 with a most comfortable king bed and we had a great night's sleep. The décor in the room is true to the 1800's period of the lumber barons of the Upper Peninsula. As is the entire Inn. Julie & Dave have gone to great lengths to try to maintain the atmosphere of being in a...

We stayed here on a whim after a long week in calumet because we were reluctant to go home. The room was affordable, but too hot. The thermostat didnt really work well in the quincy room,#7, so we sweated our butts off. There are no elevators up to the third floor so be prepared to tote your own bags upstairs....
