I reserved this home for March 2021 and received a confirmation I was all booked. 3 days later I received an email without an explanation saying the property was no longer available. When I pushed for an explanation I was told the air conditioning needed to be repaired and the home was not available for March any longer. I find it fishy that during one of the busiest months of the year the home is not available all of a sudden and that it takes a month to fix the air conditioning. Be aware if you rent this address that you maybe left without a place to stay and scrambling to find another place to stay
Big mistake staying here. If you’re looking for some relaxing time, go someplace else. This community is the noisiest place in town. Every day the maintenance crew come around with noisy water pumps to power-wash the common areas, then return with diesel leaf-blowers (more noise plus toxic fumes) to dry them. The process takes several hours. Yet they don’t bother picking up anything from the ground, just blow it around, so there is trash everywhere you look.
We’ve stayed at this resort with the same owners for 4 years and enjoyed it but with a new owner the condo is super uncomfortable. During the recent virus situation this resort closed its game, exercise and theater the second week of March and locked the pool area and clubhouse. They even padlocked the tennis and basketball courts. All the owners talk about is lost profits while people who PAID for those amenities don’t have access to them. I personally called and visited other neighboring resorts and most still had full or most amenities running with common sense precautions. Ex., Emerald island Resort, Champions Gate Resort, even our sister Windsor Hills Resort. You used to pull in and the gate guards said hi but not anymore. It’s not even a nod, all business. By the way, many owners are Canadian....I wonder why the pool closed on March 21, the day all Canadians left for their mandated home arrival of March 23? Many have lowered prices to lure new renters in but ARE NOT telling guests there are NO amenities. All you do is sit in your room or lanai. Unethical and poor way to treat your customers. 1/2 of our financial commitment is totally lost and don’t expect help from the owners. You’re just a money trough for them.…
I wrote a couple years ago and all was true "Sad In Florida". However, my husband and I went to visit a friend staying at the resort and it was taken over by another owner and Jerry is now gone. It is a very friendly and the grounds are beautiful, cars are gone that have stayed over 3 years. They have done a great job cleaning up and making things better for renters, Bravo for them.
We are from Ohio and are staying at Windsor Palms for the winter. So, we brought our bicycles along. We love to ride in this gated community. However, we discovered that there were no bike racks available; and that we were to carry our bikes up and down to our second story unit (which has no elevator). We put in a call to Ron Shipwash, the property manager; and Ron was able to procure a rack that we can use. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! We appreicate it very much. We'll be coming back! Thanks, Susie from Ohio
