We had a great stay at Kara's Cottage. The cottage was spacious with 2 big bedrooms. Kara was easy to communicate with a quick to respond to any issues we had. The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils you need. Bathroom was big with two sinks. Only downside was that there was no desk and no door between the...

We spent two nights in the Birch Bark suite. We all commented on the personal touches that made the place feel so cozy. Fantastic beds and bedding. Very clean and also loved the notes throughout the space (fans/recycling/thermostat), very well thought out. We all wanted to stay longer. Location is central to Kalamazoo, but we used Uber because of the...

We stayed at this newer of Kara's Kottages in March. It's a short walk to K College, and we will stay here again when visiting our daughter. SO much nicer and roomier than a hotel of the same price. A large living room, with a sectional and chairs and an electric fireplace and tv. BIG kitchen, with full size fridge,...

We really enjoyed the rooms and Just about anything you could want was provided. The accommodations were great we will defiantly stay there again. It was so close to Kalamazoo college that we did not have to drive to visit our daughter and could walk to her dorm and not have to find parking.

This was a great place. We stayed two nights, slept great, and felt like it was home. It was close to great food and even greater beer. The host provided breakfast fixings - we made a great breakfast on Saturday morning, but were too full Sunday morning after our tour of local breweries. Everything we needed was there and the...

We came to Kalamazoo for an unfortunate incident (a family member was in the hospital after an accident), and we needed a comfortable, affordable place to stay as a family. We were glad to find Kara's Cottages instead of having to stay at a hotel. It allowed us to save money by making some of our own meals and to...

We stayed in the newly created Acorn Kottage and it was exactly what we needed. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary and I wanted something off the beaten path (i.e. not a hotel). Kara's Kottages was the perfect spot. Located less than a mile from downtown Kalamazoo, it was a perfect location for our needs. We toured Bell's breweries and walked...

My husband had booked the wrong night at the hotel we were supposed to stay. That hotel was booked so we gave Kara's Kottages a try. The cottage itself is adorable. Very cozy! Everything is clean and nicely decorated. It was nice to have all the supplies for breakfast. I appreciated the more homey feeling compared to a hotel. We...

My husband and I were supposed to head to Savannah, but due to hurricane Matthew, we had a change of plans. We saw Kara's Kottages online and they are amazing! We stayed in the Douglas Fir Kottage which happens to be above Kara's personal home. We were afraid it may be a bit awkward, but it was just the opposite!...

From the moment we saw the photos online, we knew that this was going to be a wonderful stay. We stayed for a weekend getaway, and found that our "Kabin" -- a lovely, newly renovated apartment in a historic home -- was prepared to meet every conceivable need. From the stocked kitchen to the sumptuous bedding, this spacious apartment was...
