The location is beautiful, the rooms are large but somewhat dated. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the inn one night and loved it. The only complaint I have is the breakfast part of the bed and breakfast wast a breakfast, unless you consider a basket with a cookie, muffin, canned orange juice a breakfast

From the moment we entered the Inn, Ashley made us feel welcome. We love historic places (it is an Alcona County Historic Site) and this grand inn with its lovely view of Hubbard Lake was great. It is a bit “off the beaten path” but the Inn offers an on-site restaurant (lunch and dinner), cocktails (along with happy hours), and...

Not convenient but worth the effort to get there. Set on Hubbard Lake. Wonderful restaurant on site, huge decks and boating facility. They really go out of their way to make you feel wanted . Ownership is wonderful and will accomodate in any way possible. A little dated but that's what you expect in 100 year old inn. Didn't even...

This place is like staying at your own home. I stayed with them for over 2 months. From the greeting you get from Ashley to Andy's meals was wonderful. I was brought ice up for my great Michigan wines by Sharon with a very clean room. With on of the best views in Michigan from my window. And Don keeps...

we arrived late, keys were waiting for us, room was prepared for us. So nice to be able to go straight to the room on a cold rainy night. Breakfast was excellent. We were treated like we were the only people there...but we were not obviously. Everyone at the inn is so friendly and concerned with our comfort. I felt...

Ashley met us at the reception desk and walked us to our room. On the way we met the owner Don who was putting the finishing touches on cleaning the room across the hall. Don made sure we knew how to operate the cable TV since past guests sometimes had a problem with it. The Inn is on Hubbard Lake,...

On a trip to explore the state of MI, we came across this little comfy bed and breakfast. Rustic and charming. All of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Ashley was kind, energetic, and an overly gracious hostess. The beds were the kind you melt into, very relaxing. The dining experience was the kind that you go to the...

I'm not sure where to start. Everything about this experience and weekend was absolutely exceptional. We hosted a wedding reception for guests on Saturday evening, and stayed at the Inn in the Crow's Nest (the lakefront suite) throughout the weekend. The service is unparalleled. Don and Sharon are very attentive, warm and welcoming. They are both truly invested in ensuring...
