We stayed in a King room has a chair footstool and a couch. Also has Mini bar cabinets separated from sink area. Rooms open directly to parking. Backside rooms have better views and are quieter with a couple picnic tables. The pool and hot tub area looks nice. Only 2 in hot tub at a time and 14 in pool allowed due to COVID breakfast was limited. No hot food or breads. Coffee Smoothies, yogurt and bananas offered Very nicely maintained and comfortable

I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was spotless, didn’t find any dirt when I wiped down the entire room with Clorox wipes. It is also very quiet, even though it is on a busy road. The breakfast offered during the Covid stay was still decent. (Eggs and meat, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee)
This was a great home base to travel around the area. Day trips to tunnel of trees to Wildterness state park, Mackinaw, Soo Locks, Charlevoix, Rogers city, Cheboygan, and Saint Ignace. Make sure to go to Northwood family restaurant in Oden (about 10 minutes away) then followed by Petoskey state park for sunset.

I have to admit I was not expecting much from a Best Western but this Harbor Springs owners really have this hotel punching above its normal weight class. High quality linens, comfortable beds, modern decorations and furniture and very clean and well maintained facilities make this an excellent choice and value in Harbor Springs area. The hotel is right on Traverse Wheelway bike path which runs from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix. It is just 5-10 minutes drive from Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Indoor pool and a hot tub that is actually hot were a bonus. Management actually cares about guest experience.

As a small, one level property, we do not have noisy elevators. We have one ice maker, which is nowhere near a guest room. And there is nobody walking above your guest room at night. We rented the one bedroom suite for three people for two nights. There is one large bedroom with two queen beds and a bathroom with toilet and tub and a separate sink vanity located in the bedroom, outside of the tub area. This makes it much easier for people to get ready in the morning. The other living/kitchen room has a sofa bed, chair, dining table, full size refrigerator, stove, kitchen equipment and microwave plus a fireplace in the corner and an additional bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. This was a very large room and would work well for a family. They offered a standard hotel breakfast which we had to take back to our room due to the pandemic. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Everything looked new. It is a one story building so you can park right up to your door. It is not in the hustle of downtown Harbor Springs, but I would stay there again because of the cleanliness and large size of the rooms.

At first glance, this Best Western looks like an older motel, and that may turn some people off. Don't be fooled. This single-story, enter room from the parking lot motel has been recently renovated. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The bathrooms have new fixtures and beautiful tile work. Best of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even during this tricky time of a pandemic, they are pleasant and cheerful. We booked a double queen room that had a microwave, fridge, and mini-Keurig coffee maker in it. The breakfast was better than other options we've had during COVID. We were able to take a turn in the breakfast hallway to pick up oatmeal, hot scrambled eggs and sausage, fruit, yogurt, and a danish.
Furthermore, the location of this motel is ideal because it is right in between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. It's very close to hiking trails and Petoskey State Park.

Our property was last renovated two years ago - our guests have been very happy with the walk-in showers. If a tub/shower combination is preferred, we do have four such guest rooms on property. Many guests use our property as a headquarters because we are centrally located to Harbor Springs, the Tunnel of Trees, Cross Village, Sturgeon Bay, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, St. Ignace, Sault Ste. We have stayed at several hotels in this area and rank this BW at the top. The rooms were very clean, the staff was friendly, and after spending several nights in hotels throughout several states this past month, this BW followed Covid protocol better than any hotel we've experienced, especially in the dining area. All items were prepackaged by the staff to prevent cross-contamination, and tables were cleaned between guests. We will definitely chose this BW again in the future.

We have stayed at this hotel now about 4-5 times in the past 8 years for an annual ski trip. It is really close and convenient to the slopes (5 min. drive) so we have even come back to the hotel, gotten dinner and gone back for night skiing. The rooms are clean and updated. The breakfast they serve in the morning has hot options and lots of variety. The pool and hot tub are always great at the end of the day. On this particular trip we felt the chlorine was a bit high and looked like the hot tub could use a scrubbing but this has been a favorite place for us to stay when skiing up in Petosky/Harbor Springsl

Yes, there have been issues with the hot tub this season. Have had to drain the hot tub multiple times a week during ski season. What happens is hot tub users are not taking advantage of the shower, in the Pool House, prior to entering the pool or hot tub. 200 guests a day, using the hot tub, without showering, a lot of wear and tear - could be, we had to add more bromine to offset conditions. We always get a suite, with fireplace & kitchen area, even though we use neither during our stay. It's just so much more 'livable' when you're on a vacation. The old wood fireplace was replaced with a gas fireplace, a nice change. Both the pool and hot tub had powered chairs to aid disabled into each. Our bed was the most comfortable bed of any hotel/motel we've stayed in recently. If you wish to ski Nubs Nob or Boyne Highlands, this is an ideal location.

I agree... good for families. rooms are spacious. we had a two queen room. the indoor pool area is nice for kids too. And, the price is very reasonable. you will have to drive to the beach. have fun!
There are lovely golf courses in the area, but unfortunately, we do not set up tee times. Should you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
I am sorry, we do not allow pets at Best Western of Harbor Springs.
