We had a nice stay. Great restaurant on site. Good location, right downtown. This is an old hotel with lots of sub-par renovations, so it is definitely not a reflection of the period in which it was built. But still, comfortable.

Instead of blazing down the interstate from the Upper Peninsula my husband and I decided to amble. We picked Frankfort as an overnight destination and chose this hotel because it was on main street and historic. The idea appealed. We arrived early evening, dropped our things in our nicely appoint room and then had dinner in the dining room--separate review.... More

We choose this property to be downtown near restaurants and shopping. It is a historic hotel that has been nicely remodeled and updated. Many rooms have jetted tubs, or hot tubs, or saunas! Unusual in that respect. Service was good, but the restaurant and bar were not open during our stay. Very comfy bed, but the bedside lights are more for... More

Located right in the middle of town. Old building that seems to have been updated piecemeal over time. Quaint and unique rooms that are very clean and clean-looking. Slightly small bathrooms. Wonderful downstairs restaurant and bar area. Very broad upscale wine list. Friendly helpful staff. very comfortable beds. Quiet rooms. even on the street side. Wi-fi is iffy.

Room was fairly comfortable. Nice accommodations. Room air conditioning was very loud. It left everything very humid. Had to use it because windows had no screen. Breakfast coffee was good. Pastries were put out the next day. Looked like leftover from the day before. Staff was pleasant and location is very good. Could be a little better for the cost.... More

Thank you, Kathleen, for your review. I'm sorry that your hvac unit was loud for you. I don't understand about the humidity but will investigate and correct. The muffins are freshly baked by our Chef in our kitchen. The pastries are pre-frozen from a supplier. I highly recommend the muffins! Our coffee is from LeeLaunau Roastering out of Glen Arbor.... Hotel Frankfort has a great location with a unique bed & breakfast concept. The individual rooms are a nice touch. We loved the bay view in the loft. Our only negative comments are the condition of the room and unfriendliness of the lady at the front desk. We have never felt so unwelcome in a hotel. The bathroom exhaust fan... More

We thank you for your feedback and apologize that your stay was not to your, or our, standards. We are usually highly rated in both friendliness and cleanliness so are disappointed that we failed you on this stay in both. Do, please, give us another chance to prove that this was a one-time occurrence. More

Every room is different. Like a B&B; so just know what you're renting. Don't go for 201 for instance; but jump at a chance for 203! Bartender is very good! Sunday Brunch is excellent! A very short walk to the beach, historical homes, shops, and a movie theater across the street! Doesn't get easier than this!

What a treat to have stayed in this Historic Hotel. Beautifully decorated with eclectic furnishings and art. Park your car and enjoy the towns restaurants, shopping and sweet treats. Just two blocks from a nice beach right on Lake Michigan. Clean rooms and Judy the owner is such a lovely women!! Will definitely stay there again and hopefully soon.

Well, I did not book this hotel. My family had rented a house nearby and they surprised us by getting us a room for 2 nights here so we would not have to sleep on the couch. It was a charming, old hotel with lots of nooks and cranies that you wanted to know about. There is great history there,... More

Thank you for your kind review. Yes, a few of our bathrooms are not proportional to the room size. Our hotel was built in 1932, 84 years old, so much was added in later years. We're glad we don't have to tell guests that bathrooms are shared or that an out house is out back. :) Again, thank you! It... More
