The Sherwood Forest B & B was truly the perfect place to stay in the Saugatuck/Douglas area! This gorgeous old home is so warm and welcoming, as are the hosts Noelene & Jim. We stayed in the Log Cabin Suite - 2 huge rooms with a 2-way fireplace between the enormous jacuzzi tub and the bedroom -- awesome! The heated...

Beautiful B&B with a short walk to the shore of Lake Michigan and magical sunsets. We stayed in the Victorian Room and had a rest filled night. For a room this size, a queen size bed would be a nice upgrade, but the double bed with a pillow topped mattress was quite comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a nice...

We just spent 5 relaxing days at the Sherwood Forest B&B! The inn was just beautiful and so was the location. Situated in a lovely quiet neighborhood and just 1/2 a block from the beach. Close to restaurants and kayaking. The breakfasts were delicious too. I wish they would sell that granola! The owners are lovely people and so welcoming....

This was a completely last minute reservation, and were glad Jim and Noelene were so accommodating. They greeted us warmly with a glass of wine and map and guide to great restaurants and shops around Douglas and Saugatuck. Our favorite of these was Salt of the Earth restaurant. We stayed in the Log Cabin Suite, and there was plenty of...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here in the log cabin suite. Clean, welcoming, pretty, well-appointed, comfortable, and well-located are attributes of this B&B. What's more worth noting is its excellent location less than a block from the beach (Lake MI)--excellent for sunsets and walks in most seasons. It's close to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck too....

This is a wonderful B&B, the welcome is warm and the atmosphere comfortable and calm. Locate a block from the beach in Douglas, the setting is tranquil and perfect for sunsets. We had the Rose Room and the Tree Tops Room, both very comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated (especially Tree Tops, very special). Nolene the proprietor/cook is a great hostess,...

This was my first experience at a Bed and Breakfast and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Very clean and well maintained by Jim and Nolene who were very gracious upon our arrival. The food was exceptional and very presentable. Everything was done with pride and we could tell that they loved what they are doing. We were presented with...

We just took a much needed weekend of downtime at this B&B. Nolene and Jim are great hosts and the rooms are well appointed. We stayed in the log cabin suite for 2 nights in early spring. The room stayed comfortably warm the whole time; it's private, clean and there's a huge jacuzzi tub (and fireplace) in the bathroom. Note:...

Love Saugatuck but hate the traffic gridlock and parking roulette? Next time, stay five or fewer minutes away, in the equally charming but quieter adjacent town of Douglas. Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast is situated on a wooded residential street, at the west end of which is Lake Michigan and a lovely sand beach for strolling, bathing or watching sunsets....

My husband surprised me for our 11th anniversary. The outside of the B&B was tastefully decorated with Halloween decorations. Nolene greeted & welcomed us as we arrived. The inside of the home was beautiful along with more holiday decorations which we loved. Our room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, & the food was delicious! Jim & Nolene were so...
