We had been looking forward to our trip to Turtle Bay from the moment we booked our trip, and it turned out to not only meet our expectations of being a relaxed, remote paradise, but also an adventure! What bumped this review from a 4 to a 5 is, quite simply, the staff. While the accommodations are modest, the staff...

Turtle Bay eco Resort is an amazing place to stay and dive! Let's get the obvious out of the way first to save people time. This is NOT a Hilton or Beaches type of resort. TBER is quiet, secluded, intimate and has some amazing dive sites! There are no roads to "party bars" or huge nightlife! TBER is exactly the...

We are a group of advance divers/friends traveling Central / South America looking for a good dive shop and diving locations. We decided since we would be a big group that we would contact the resort for a better price since there was 7 of us. The owner agrees to a ALL INCLUSIVE dive package which included transportation, 3 meals...

This trip was one of the best experiences I've had, the island is beautiful, with clear water and amazing views, but what really made the trip so special was Turtle Bay and their incredible staff who made us feel home from the moment we got there. The view from the rooms was breath taking, the food was fresh and healthy...

I had the most incredible time on this beautiful little island escape. Though the islands beauty was impeccable, my favorite part of this resort was the staff. They made us feel like family, and truly were just so much fun to be around; they took care of our every need and more. Although there were was no A/C and we...

We were lucky enough to spend a week at Turtle Bay Eco resort in August. The resort is the only one on Cayos Cochinos, which is just magical. You virtually have this piece of paradise to yourself. It is a beautiful island with the most perfect turquoise ocean water, gorgeous reefs and stunning sunsets. The resort itself is lovely. The...

This trip was something else, it was breath taking from the moment we got there. The staff was super inviting at Turtle Bay. I highly recommend diving, the reefs have lots of different fish to see. Hiking to the fishing villages showed us the beauty of different parts of the island. Waking up to the sound of the ocean every...

Overall this trip was a success! Upon our arrival into San Pedro Sula from Florida we were welcomed by a representative of Turtle Bay Eco resort. From there we all boarded a van and headed to Ceiba, where we would be accommodated for the night at hotel Paris. The bus ride into town was very comfortable. The driver was extremely...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located on the untouched, tropical island of Isla Major in the Cayos Cochinos archipelago, Turtle Bay Eco Resort is situated on a 10 acre site hugging the shoreline of the Caribbean Sea. The crystal clear waters off the coast of the island are enhanced by the world's second largest barrier reef providing a stunning backdrop to your relaxing vacation. Turtle Bay Eco Resort was grandfathered into the Cayos Cochinos Marine Park and to this day, remains the exclusive resort or hotel in the area. This exclusivity remains one of the sole reasons that Cayos Cochinos has preserved its pristine waters, lush tropical forests and it's completely unique experience. Staying at the Turtle Bay Eco Resort is more than just a vacation at a Caribbean hotel, it is the feeling you get upon arrival, the complete relaxation of your body throughout your stay and it's the feeling of leaving more as friends than guests. As a resort with only 5 rooms, our small and intimate feel allows you to get to know our staff and let them guide you through the wonders that this incredible location can offer. We offer private diving, dining, hiking, kayaking, island touring and much more. After a long day of exploring the Cayos Cochinos, why not settle down with a delicious cocktail to enjoy watching the sun as it sets right in front of our bay. Even though we are only 24 miles from Roatan or Utila, our island paradise separates the hustle and bustle to give you what you are really searching for. ... more   less
