This amazing cabin retreat was just what we needed after some long days on the road and being up north doing winter hiking. Jeannie and Dave have created such a cozy getaway. Every where you look there is something cute and artsy that reflects the natural surroundings and wilderness the inn is built in. We booked the north woods room to access the jet tub for a nice soak. Our room was spacious and clean complete with a beautifully made quilt and view to the woods which was cool for wildlife watching. We had a nice time getting warm by the fire both in our room and in the common area where we watched a movie and enjoyed a provided dessert (and were watched by the bobcat mount!) The breakfast room on the main floor is an incredible spot to hang out in as the front row seat to nature while enjoying the homemade breakfast, which was excellent. You can tell this whole place is built and run from the heart. We would love to come back again!

My husband and I had a wonderful 2-night stay at this charming Bed and Breakfast nestled in the woods two weeks ago. (February 23-25, 2020). As you drive up the long winding road, you approach a beautiful log home situated privately on 50 plus acres of gorgeous pine trees and breathtaking landscape. There was a fresh blanket of snow everywhere. We were greeted by a lovely couple, Jeanne and Dave, who were most gracious, very accommodating and made us feel right at home. I really can't say enough about our stay. We were accompanied by two other couples (dearest friends). The Inn was designed with the intention and detail that shows everywhere you look. We stayed in the "Deer Room" which has a large window overlooking the peaceful yard. We had two relaxing nights sleep with not a sound in the house. Not only do they prepare exceptional breakfasts, in the evening Jeanne prepared a heart-shaped chocolate dessert and a cherry turnover to die for. Throughout the day, they generously provide coffee, tea, sodas, and water. In the evening, they turn down your beds adding water, a small treat, and soft relaxing music. The Inn's location was perfect for a day out to Petoskey, Boyne City and Charlevoix. We will plan to make this a yearly visit up north to this lovely home in the woods.

As you drive in the long wooded driveway, you feel the peacefulness. Upon coming to the B&B, you'll see a Log Home, and Gardens surrounding it. The hosts are soft spoken and very eager to settle you in. Offering fresh bakes treats and coffee. The yard has a few lawn games to try. A very nice swimming pool with wrap around deck for tanning. Not to mention a large array of birds coming to feeders.
A firepit area for a late night fire.
Rooms are well appointed. The breakfast area if a large glass enclosed Atrium, where David serves up one of his creations, served with Fresh Fruit and homemade Pastry. I will go back, as it was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Just minutes from beautiful Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan, Horton Creek Inn is a first-class, 5-star B&B in the heart of the north woods of Michigan! Owner-Proprietors, Jeannie and Dave, mingle with the guests while service breakfast and dinner while doing all the things it takes to run a very clean, neat and orderly B&B. The vegetable and flower gardens on the grounds are a great joy to walk through and view from the sitting and dining rooms. We can't wait to return and bring friends along!

Centrally located between Charlevoix and Boyne City, this B&B is set in the middle of a quiet 50 acres of wooded peacefulness. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with terraced seating areas, fire pits, and swimming pool. The hosts are welcoming and accommodating. The full hot breakfast was delicious. They even had a fire going for us upon returning back to the B&B after a day out exploring the nearby towns.

Jeannie and Dave were wonderful hosts and so accommodating to my wife and I. The home is located within a short drive to either Charlevoix or Boyne City, both with decent eateries.

I highly recommend Horton Creek Inn.

We were traveling with our daughter so we stayed in the Tree Top room and she was in the Waterfowl room. This is a great arrangement when traveling with family. We loved sitting on our balcony enjoying a different view of the spectacular property.
Our daughter’s room had a window seat which made it fun relaxing and enjoying the front yard. You really need a day to just stay on the property and enjoy all of God‘s beautiful creation. Dave takes great care of the grounds. The vegetable garden is amazing and the flowers are beyond beautiful. He takes care to make sure the birdfeeders are full so you can enjoy an array of different species of birds. Truly amazing! We saw at least three different species of woodpeckers. The huge pilated woodpeckers were quite entertaining. You can enjoy them from outside on the patio or swing or inside in the amazing glass enclosed breakfast room. Jeannie made the best breakfast ever! The coffee was always ready to go at 6 AM. We appreciated that because we are early risers. We could grab a cup of coffee and take a walk around the awe inspiring grounds and trails. She also spoiled us with homemade desserts in the evening.
We’ve stayed in many bed and breakfast Inn’s over the years and this one is at the top of the list. We would definitely return.
From the moment we checked in to the time we sadly had to depart Jeannie did everything to make our stay over the top AMAZING!
Hopefully you will visit when their good friend Al is there. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with him and hearing all his stories and riddles! So fun

The Inn was a perfect place for our honeymoon. The room was adorable quiet and comfortable. They had all the amenities we needed including" Bath and Body Works" soap and lotion. The breakfasts and desserts were delicious and Dave and Jeannie couldn't have been nicer. We took walks around the property every morning. The trails were lovely. Hope to be back for our anniversary!

I could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Everything was outstanding, even amid COVID. Guests (and hosts) wore masks so that all felt comfortable. The property and home are beautiful. Our room was large and comfortable and all we could ever hope for.

Hi Susan, We would have the Deer or North Woods room available for your dates. Check them out on our website. Rates and amenities vary by room. I think the closest docking you would have to us will be Boyne City. That's only 10 minutes away. Call 866-582-5373 to secure a room or for more information. Jeannie

Although we love animals I am sorry to say that we do not allow any pets at the Inn. Often we get other guests coming in that have severe allergies to pets and therefore we cannot take the chance. We do have a local boarding facility just around the corner.
