Paying $180 a night (wedding group discount) I expect a comfortable, modern room. This in not. Has not been redone since the early 80s. Bathroom ceiling tile is falling apart. Tub and sink caulk is peeling. Carpet is old and stained. The whole suite smells like old lady perfume. I don't expect the ritz when I stay in northern MI,...

We came into Charlevoix and decided to stay the night there on a whim instead of continuing on to Petoskey and had a wonderful weekend. We did start out at Weathervane Terrace which had full occupancy after one night. As far as the room, we were told 'lake views' but you could barely see it from the balcony through the...

We stayed at this older hotel for a wedding that was nearby, and we got a great wedding group rate on our room. The staff was very helpful, and the common areas dated but clean. Our room was a patio room and we got to park right at our front door. We had two queen beds a small fridge and...

The room was old and dumpy. Screen to patio bent as it had been preyed open. Floor needed re-staining. It did not lock. The fake fire place did not work. The jacuzzi tub leaked so you were constantly refilling it. The only view was by leaning over the balcony to see a piece of the lake. We booked with groupon,...

I read the reviews before booking and was a little nervous about staying here. There is a bit of truth in some aspects. This area in general is high volume, touristy, older type communities. Every building in this town has some "history". We stayed in a couple of different rooms because we had planned on hopping around for a few...

The atmosphere and architecture almost make up for the mediocre food. Designed by Earl Young, the building's roofline complements Charlevoix's mushroom homes. Go for the location, watch the drawbridge do its thing and overlook the food.

Checked into hotel as we were driving through Charlevoix. Turned out to be a nice hotel right on the main street where everything was within walking distance. For the area of the price was reasonable. I would recommend this hotel if you were in the area.

This hotel is old and run down. Our room was on the 2nd floor and we were traveling with very large and heavy bags. They didn't have an elevator and the nearest stairwell was a very skinny spiral staircase. The room was more like a very poorly maintained motel along an interstate. Not great. Won't come back. The only nice...
