We enjoyed this resort and we were thrilled to get a summer week through RCI which is usually impossible to find anything in Michigan. We especially enjoyed Deer Lake. The two boat specialists in charge of kayaks, stand up board and sailboats did an amazing job working alone. They juggled it all with grace and humor. Thanks Dan and Aaron! It was a great location to visit the resort towns in the area. We did the free (with wristband) chairlift rides and 'smores. The cornhole games weren't usable due to the resorts inability to order new beanbags.
The 1 br (we've stayed in 2br before) is really only large enough for 2 but the refurbished unit Bldg 16 was cozy and fine for us. There were nice grills nearby and our upstairs unit was quiet and had light blocking drapes so you could sleep in.
They were careful with the check in/out and people respected using masks indoors. Not as much at the pool or lake and outside. The boats and life jackets were disinfected after use.
I would recommend Mt Run and Boyne Mt resort highly. Just know the 1 br is mainly for 2 people.

Well equipped condo. See pics for specific kitchen supplies. Trash bags, door stop, dishwasher detergent found in kitchen closet.

Fireplace and queen sleeper sofa in living room with slider to patio with dining table/chairs for 4. Dining room for 6 inside plus 2 at the bar.

Pocket door separates living dining kitchen from bedrooms and baths so adults can put the kids to bed and still enjoy the living space.

King master has slider to private patio with 2 chairs and table. Also ensuite with whirlpool tub, single stall shower unit and single vanity with nice toiletries available. Laundry basket and detergent available as well for "in lobby" laundry are found in master closet.

Queen room is smaller but has dresser, closet and tv as well. Large windows make the space feel large. Bath across the hall.

Great location, lots to do on property including shopping, spa, restaurants, ice cream/candy shops, s'mores at night, zip lines, skiing, hiking trails, etc.

Great 2 bedroom for family of 4. I can’t see 6 people being comfortable though. 4 people is perfect. The stafff is helpful. Avalanche Bay has strange hours so check their schedule & weather to plan accordingly...especially when kids are too tired to ski. There is not a pool, but you can use the Boyne resort pool at the clock tower on certain days or Boyne resort pool for a large fee.

This hotel charges a 150.00 housekeeping fee in addition to what you are paying to book the place. It is really expensive considering you can rent it nightly for less money. I would not waste your points for this place when you can do it nightly for less money than it cost between the housekeeping fee, RCI charges, and insurance. I would never stay here again as I felt ripped off. In addition, they leave a plastic coated request for you to empty the garbage, pull off the sheets, put all the towels in the laundry basket, run the dishwasher, and make sure that refrigerator is empty. I could not be more disappointed.

Always come up to enjoy the area, but the huge hot tub and heated pool has kept us coming back. I was told in March 2020 they would be covering the outside pool for use during the colder months. In July when we bought more points they said they would start building a pool in hot tub over by the Presidential suite. Well its almost October and there is no ground broken. We brought the grandkids to swim. Had to spend 200 to get a room at the clock tower, so we could swim. The Bluegreen pool is very cold and they don't even cover it at night to keep the heat in. It would be nice if the would get 2 covers for their pool, this would help keep the heat in. Spending more than 4000 in maintenance fees and the hundreds more that they get from their owners, you would think they could come up with something. I am already locked in financially so I hope by next Fall the will have their heated pool and hot tub up and running.

We had a 4 bedroom unit. Another couple was traveling with us and the 3 bedroom has a lock out unit which gave us the privacy we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the unit was very clean. There were not dishrags or drying towels when we checked in. We called the front desk and they were delivered right away. There were only 2 dishwasher tabs and we needed to do dishes every day but instead of calling for those we just hand washed a few of the days.

Our second time here and we enjoyed it. Didn’t ski (only a few runs open) but still enjoyed walking, hiking and driving around this gorgeous area. Our one bedroom unit was small, clean and comfortable with a cozy gas fireplace that kicks out a lot of heat. No oven in the room was kind of a disappointment. Last time we were here the Boyne pool area was included with the stay. Not anymore. We heard that it now costs $25/person/day for this amenity.

I've stayed here several times, so I generally know what to expect. The units are a good size, and the resort is well maintained. This time, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of both toilet bowls in our room. Otherwise, everything was nice. Take note that the wifi is not password protected, so you will likely need a hot spot if you plan on working remotely, or having children partake in virtual learning during your visit.

My wife and I spent a week at Mountain Run with 4 friends in a 3 BR unit. We enjoyed the furnishings, the kitchen(s), dining and drinking together, and the skiing at nearby Boyne Highlands and Nub's Nob. We used the resort's discount wristbands at a great restaurant overlooking Walloon Lake. We shopped in Petoskey and Boyne City. Overall, it was a relaxing, enjoyable experience.

We were there for week of April 2-9, school break for the kids. The ski hills closed on April 4. The water park was closed over Covid concerns (not their fault). The zip line is closed Monday and Tuesday. They don't have many bikes to rent because its not in season yet. The outdoor pool and hot hut at Boyne are not available to Mountain Run guests without paying, yet Mountain Run's pool remains closed. We checked out early. No way to print out anything from computer at front desk so I couldn't even stay to work remotely.
