Reviews correctly called Sleepy Hollow a comfortable small place that has a nice flavor of the 60s. Nice individualized feel with pretty window boxes in front of each room. Room was 'compact' (maybe small) with a few too many chairs but adequate. Air conditioning effective & pool area nice. A big draw is the short (.3mile) walk to the town...

The property is a quaint motor lodge type inn, for the cost, I feel like I should have had a bigger room with central air. They did not offer a military discount which really bothered me coming from a military family. The cost over what my money bought really did not equal out. Pros: 10 minute walk to town, clean...

Nice motel that is very, very friendly and accommodating for ferry goers to Martha's Vineyard. Staff and owner are so helpful and accommodating. We rented the family room in the farther back part of the complex and it was very large. My only concern was the damp or mildew scent that was overwhelming. I'm guessing that it's because it's all...

We certainly appreciate this positive review. We have an exceptional reputation for cleanliness and have very aggressive programs in place to assure that the room air is fresh but at times perfection is out of reach for seaside accommodations. We installed wi-fi many years ago to meet the needs of the many scientists who stay with us. This year the...

The most important thing is to understand what this place is: It is a family-run motel from the 60's that retains it original "character", with a convenient location, and is one of the very few choice in Woods Hole for accommodation. (There are no "five star" luxury hotels in Woods Hole.) This place does a wonderful job at being what...

An older motel but extremely clean. It was hidden from the main road so we did not hear the traffic. The staff went out of their way to welcome us and their service was extraordinary. We could walk to the village in three minutes.

This wonderful little family-run motel is the perfect place to overnight, especially if you have missed the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Run by Sandy and Andy with charm and kindness, it has everything you need for comfort, including coffee machine and a good price. We felt very comfortable there, especially since they were kind enough to come down to the...

We spent two nights in Woods Hole and chose this place because of its location. It is very convenient to the Shining Sea Bike Path, although one does have to cross a busy street then go down a steep incline to get to the path. The Sleepy Hollow is also a couple of blocks to the village restaurants and even...

I had to go to the Vineyard for an early evening event and needed a place to stay for one night, and this was just perfect. Sue, the proprietor, was very helpful. She sold us the Ferry tickets for Martha's Vineyard and told us how to walk down to the ferry dock. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was modern...

About a 15 minute level walk to the center of town and even closer to the ferry terminal. The air-conditioned room was perfectly adequate and had the usual amenities. We did not use the pool although it looked tempting. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Sleepy Hollow is a classic motor inn providing affordable accommodations in historic Woods Hole Village. Innkeeper/owner Sandee Parmelee spent years working at first class B&Bs before acquiring the Sleepy Hollow. Her experience is reflected in the effort that goes into providing clean, well-maintained rooms. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard, beaches, aquarium, museums, restaurants, and other attractions are within easy walking distance. We're also a great starting point for trips to other Cape Cod destinations. ... more   less
