We haven't stayed here for a couple of years, but this charming little place continues to be the best deal on the lower cape. It is one of the cleanest properties that we've ever visited. The owners are attentive & charming & the location couldn't be better. This is the real deal.

Nice staff, great room, absolutely spotless, and a nice stroll to town. Couldn't get any better. Too early in the season for the lovely pool to be open, but sorry I missed it. About a 15 minute easy walk to downtown Wood's Hole, with its shopping, restaurants, oceanography institute, and beautiful views of the ocean. I will be back!

We usually spend just one night and find the location is a reasonable distance to the Martha's Vineyard ferry boats. The prices are fair and there are good restaurant choices nearby. The rooms are somewhat dated, but they are clean, and we like that we can usually park right in front of the room we are in.

I've been staying here for about 20 years. We don't get to WH very often, but when we do, this is where we stay. It's an old-fashioned motel, with a pool in the center. The building to the north of the pool is a one-story, except at the end, which has two stories. The building on the south side of... More

Just returned after meeting friends down on the Cape very last minute. I couldn't be happier I found The Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn! Sue & Donna were fantastic owner/managers and made my stay very comfortable. Room 26 on the first floor was perfectly sunny for Mid October, the morning sun was just perfect for a cup of coffee in chairs... More

This is a very charming throw back motel. The decor was 1950/60 and probably the cleanest motel/ hotel I have visited in recent years. We stayed here to be able to get an early morning ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The check in was very easy and friendly. Our room was in the back corner on the second floor. There are... More

We stayed here over ten years ago and enjoyed our stay. It has been some time, but we decided we wanted to visit "The Cape" again. This is a Classic Motel. I read some of the reviews before going and too many mistook this for a Hotel Chain property. There is no lobby or concierge here, but there are the... More

My first priority in choosing a place to stay during my many business travels is always cleanliness, followed by quiet and free reliable wifi. This motel did not disappoint. While others may complain that it's "dated," so what? It's very clean, quiet, and wifi doesn't go down every 10 minutes. I've stayed at far more expensive so-called "4 star" hotels... More

Thank you!. This certainly reflects the experience we are trying to provide for guests. We are a bit "dated" and we favor maintenance over remodeling but we feel we compare very favorably with the hotel chains. We have highly experienced housekeepers who are given as much time as they wish to service the rooms and all rooms are then independently... More

The Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn, in Woods Hole, MA, is delightful! While most motels located near the ferry to Martha's Vineyard can get to be extremely pricey, the Sleepy Hollow provides exactly tha right ammenities for a very affordable price. Plus, it is within walking distance to the ferry terminal--which makes all the difference. Our room was not glamorous, but... More

Sue, Donna and the staff were great. Rags left for me to protect the carpet for my bike. A hose to flush and clean my small boat when done plus free parking for the day with only a short ten minute walk to town. Don't expect the Four Seasons, that's not the point by staying here. Donna even tried to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Sleepy Hollow is a classic motor inn providing affordable accommodations in historic Woods Hole Village. Innkeeper/owner Sandee Parmelee spent years working at first class B&Bs before acquiring the Sleepy Hollow. Her experience is reflected in the effort that goes into providing clean, well-maintained rooms. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard, beaches, aquarium, museums, restaurants, and other attractions are within easy walking distance. We're also a great starting point for trips to other Cape Cod destinations. ... more   less
