We had a newly upgraded room at the back of the hotel and it was very nice and comfortable, and importantly quiet and away from the street. All was very clean and orderly and working. I would recommend this place again. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent with lots of healthy options. I...

Just a run down hotel that lost it's shine .... about two decades ago. Peeling wallpaper, yellow linoleum that I can't tell is supposed to be yellow or yellowed from age. . Toilets don't flush correctly, can't control the temperature of your room. . .

A stupendous visit to this lovely inn! It is an old-fashioned kind of place - with actual keys. Everything was 21st century clean and professional; the atmosphere was old fashioned new England. The antiques throughout the hotel were lovely. Christmas decorations featured the Williams College Cow in Purple and Gold at the top of the tree. Breakfast was a wonderful...

Located in Williamstown, the Williams Inn I was informed was recently purchased by the Williamstown College. It is dated, requiring refurbishing, saying that it is very comfortable, warm and friendly. Dinner was very good served efficiently in the dining room. The classes of Williamstown of 53 and 56 also dined other dining rooms that evening.

We met with friends on December 8th and enjoyed an overnight stay at the Williams Inn. (We were there for the "Boar's Head Feast", which I'll review separately.) We received a cordial welcome at check-in, and were allowed into our room early --well before the 3 p.m. check-in. (Nice, when you've been on the road for awhile.) The room itself...

Thank you for such thoughtful comments! It was a pleasure to meet you and your friends. We were thrilled to share some of our holiday traditions with you and we appreciate that you took the time to get to know the Inn and some of our local "historians". Don't forget to plan another trip next year for the Oktoberfest! Everyone...

However, the bathroom fixtues including lights were all out of order, the furniture comes from a 1950s garage sale, and the walls are so thin, one can hear everything from both sides. There were also high school students who had been placed throughout the hotel, meaning extra noise. This is not a place to visit, not now, even though it...

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We appreciate that you see the potential of our Inn and I hope that you will return to give us another chance. As a college hotel, there are periodically times that visiting sports teams stay at the Inn, but we find that they are quite respectful and try not to...

The presidential suite is a perfect winter retreat! What a classically elegant room. A wonderful environment with friendly and knowledgable staff. The New England pot roast from the Tavern alone is worth the trip. We can't wait for our next stay.

Yum- you're so right about the Pot Roast! With a wood-burning fireplace in the Tavern and a gas fireplace in the Suite you certainly did pick a great winter retreat. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with others. Please come back soon.

We live close to Williamstown so in the past have only been to the Williams Inn for dinner or receptions. We decided this year to have Thanksgiving Dinner at the inn and to stay overnight. The common areas, dining room and tavern are all very comfortable and pleasant spaces. They are warm, relaxing rooms and we enjoyed making use of...

Happy Holidays! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving spent with our family. Many of our staff have been here for 15, 20, even 35 years so they love to see families come back year after year. We hope you do choose to make it an annual tradition!

Great service. Run down rooms although lovely public rooms. Awful beds and pillows. Spotty WiFi. No ability to see channel guide or order in room movies. No room service. GREAT staff. Very sweet and accomodating. Terrific bar/grill room. Strongly recommend martinis and burgers - and locally made ice cream.

Thank you for the great review of the Tavern. The rooms do have a nostalgic feel, and you're right that there is no digital TV guide or pay-per-view. Many of our mattresses have been replaced, we hope that you find time to return to Williamstown and give the beds another try. Many thanks, Greta

We love the area and decided to try a new Inn. Kandy, the owner, was incredibly gracious and made us feel like we were staying with family. It was the perfect combination of enough attention to whatever we might need, while not feeling at all disturbed. The breakfast was delicious - especially because the eggs, cooked perfectly, came right from...
