Small family farm - our toddler enjoyed the sheep, the chickens, the ducks and roasting marshmallows with the family dog. The only thing I would say is that if you have done other farm stays, the involvement and number of animals here is slightly less. Nice breakfast, beautiful, tranquil setting!

We had such an amazing time, our daughter who is 21 months old just loved the chickens, ducks, turkeys and sheep! Every morning we would help let them out and feed them, not before a scrumptious farm breakfast though! The location of the farm is just perfect, 30 minutes from Cape Cod, Rhode Island and other great sights. We hope...

My 9 year old daughter and I stayed here for the weekend. The farm only takes one group/family at a time to enhance the farm stay experience. Our time here was nothing short of fantastic! Virginia, the owner, was a remarkable host! Her home is warm and inviting and we were welcomed like immediate family members. The hearty breakfast she...

We first came to Stonehaven several years ago and we go two or three times a year. Our granddaughters, now 10 and 13, are in love with the lambs, which they bottle-feed, and with the turkeys, chickens, and ducks. They love gathering eggs and helping Virginia Merlier cook her incredible breakfasts. Nearby, there are several beaches ranging from open ocean...

My husband, daughter, son and I stayed one night at Stonehaven Family Farm as a party alternative for my son's 7th birthday. We wanted to get away from the usual expensive, over-in-two-hours birthday party experience. We decided to treat our son to a special, intimate (i.e. only the four of us) getaway, specially tailored to the birthday boy's interests. Stonehaven...

Our family spent two nights at Stonehaven family farm in August. We all enjoyed it. Our 7-year old loved picking chicken eggs, feeding the sheep and putting the ducks in beds. The room we stayed were very clean, bright and airy. Virginia is a very good host that answered your questions, recommending restaurants. We had the best lobsters ever. The...

An enormous, airy and spotlessly clean room opening onto the farm pastures running down to the Westport river; a large, spotless en-suite bathroom ; comfortable mattress with spotless quality linen - what more could you ask for? Well, breakfast : fruits & berries freshly picked from the garden, fresh farm eggs gathered from the chickens and Virginia's top quality home...

My husband and I spent two nights at Virginia's beautiful farm. We loved doing the chores with her, and spending time with the wonderful menagerie of animals. Even though it was a bit chilly and rainy, we were very happy to sit on her deck, throw a ball for the dog, or read inside. The breakfasts were outstanding, and it...

I am a little late in writing this review - we stayed here in the Fall of 2011, but our stay was so much fun! Wonderful host, beautiful grounds, lovely breakfast. A charming town. We were visiting for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Westport.

My wife and I enjoyed meeting Virginia and her animals. She was very warm and welcoming. We got to know her dog well and did a few farm chores despite the cold weather. This is a very different experience, it's like staying at someone's home as a guest. Highly recommend! Great food as well. You will be the only guest,...
