Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As I am a five star girl who is willing to camp after reading the reviews on this caravan park I wanted to cancel, but as we were travelling with friends, we went ahead. I loved the location and we were is a secluded private spot with lots of nice trees and easy access to the ablution block. The shower blocks were indeed very old, but they were constantly cleaning them and the delivered the essentials - hot water and toilets. I mentioned to management that I almost cancelled due to thee reviews and they said that it was challenging over Christmas because it was so busy and so many families that you couldn't keep up with the cleaning with it dirtied within 20 minutes and the difficulty getting staff down there. As this trip was in March, things had calmed down a bit by then. The fish and chips were good. Loved the location and walked to the beach in the mornings for a swim. Nice 4wdriving on the beach as well and also a 20 km walk one day and fishing. Beautiful part of the world. I had decided that it if was that bad I would shower in the camper trailer and use our portable loo if it was disgusting and I didn't have to. Hopefully this gives a little more balance to the other reviews and encourages you to visit this part of the world.

We didn't stay in the park, although looked very shady and nice grassed areas. Were told that the fish and chips were a must and the recommendations were not wrong! By far the best seafood I have ever had. No oily residue on your lips after, or oil taste repeating on you after you finish. Lightly battered and chips so tasty! Well worth the drive from Walpole and surrounds. Beautiful beach to sit and enjoy lunch too.

A visit to the caravan parks of yesteryear. This reminds me of the caravan parks I used to visit many years ago in my childhood. The park charges 2020 prices but the facilities have not been upgraded for many years. The sites are all over the place with many not level. The water pressure was terrible and had to use the pump and tap water just to use water in the van. That said a beautiful location, lovely and quiet. Nestled among the trees. A lovely beach just across the road. We were there for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have our dog with us which was not a problem and he just loves a good run on the beach. Yes we would happily go there again.

Spent a week here, we were lucky with where we were parked compared to others.
We at least had grass and not a swamp. The Office staff lack social skills and were just plain rude. A course in customer service would not go astray
There are 2 ablution blocks for the entire park, one has 3 toilets and 3 showers, both ablution blocks do not get cleaned daily and often run out of toilet paper so take your own. In a time when cleanliness is paramount the hygiene levels in this park sit low on the scale.
The camp kitchen sits high on a hill and was filthy.
The whole park screams disorganised with people parked wherever they can be fitted, with staff drawing fresh lines on the ground to squeeze in more.
The back of the park is black sand and turns to mud with very little water pressure to your van. Most taps leak and there are no waste water wells so your waste hose just runs out on the ground.
I refused to use the laundry, I don’t think this has ever been cleaned and felt sure my washing would come out worse than it went in.
We didn’t order fish and chips as these were too highly priced.
There won’t be a next time for us, we will look at either Walpole or Denmark to stay.

We've been travelling the south coast of WA while waiting for our house to be built and have been trying fish and chips along the way. We've even tried a few that have won awards, but the best by far was at Peaceful Bay. It hasn't won awards (don't know why!) and it's at the caravan park. Now there's not much else at Peaceful Bay, other than stunning scenery and good fishing and you'll need to take a 14km detour off the highway, but it's definitely worth it! We bought 2 serves of fish and one of chips with a side serve of aioli. We chose snapper, locally caught and the most expensive at over $40 altogether. But boy, it was fabulous! 3 X pieces of fish each, lightly battered, crisped to perfection with the juiciest fish inside. A good serve of chips, those between sized ones, a size up from shoestring. Again cooked to perfection, soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. We were really impressed. So impressed that we've done this review. I do hope they keep the cook because they deserve a medal!

Lovely location park has had next to no improvements in 30 years. The value you get compared to other parks in area is not good. Not many of the sites are level,no defined boundries with no drainage. The so called campers kitchen is situated on top of a Sandy Hill and consists of two tables, two fridges and one barbaque. The ablution block although clean is very old,not all showers have heads. All up not a bad experience just disappointed it hasn't improved over the years.

We stopped by for some fish and chips while on a day trip to the area. The snapper had lovely crispy batter and chips were cooked well. Overall it was very tasty and exceeded our expectations, but at $27 per portion we felt it was a bit expensive.

Two of us and a two year old stayed at PB Caravan Park. The sites are, for the most park lovely grassed and shaded areas, although not all are flat which is a consideration if you’re not in a caravan! Really close to the beach, and amenities block has been recently renovated so clean and tidy. The park was relatively empty, but I can well imagine by the the sheer number of sites that in a busy season, the park would be heaving with many crammed in and I’m not sure the current (and proposed) amenities will suffice. The little playground is nice but needs some work with exposed concrete, not ideal when a little one has a fall, and could be expanded for occasions like ours when the weather precluded much beach time (unpredictably and unfortunately!) We had the fish and chips; don’t expect your fish and chip shop meal and you won’t be disappointed by portion size; nor should you expect gourmet food; it’s a caravan park! We enjoyed ours (the toddler especially ate all the fish!) and love that it is locally caught. Morning coffees (and hot chocolate) were yum! Well located close to various beaches and 4wd tracks too! In good weather, this is a great family stay!

Set in a lovely quiet area behind the sand dunes of Peaceful Bay the park retains a natural setting with large grass sites amongst peppermint trees. The family run business is making great improvements to the park having recently upgraded the amenities block, they are done really well. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff.
The family also run a small shop where you can purchase fish and chips, the fish supplied by their own boat - excellent. Not cheap but worth the spend. The adjacent cafe, open each morning, serves good coffee and light breakfasts, again very friendly staff and good quality food. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Room Tip: We were there in September and it was quiet. I’m sure the park would be very busy in the summer...

We camp here every year. It used to be very laid back and the owners were lovely. However the latest owners have hiked up the prices and are extremely rude and disrespectful. There are 'new' amenities but not enough water for all 6 showers to operate at once and only 4 mens toilets for the entire place! Location is amazing. Beach is very accessible and it's right on the bibluman.
