We went to Stockbridge to visit the Norman Rockwell museum. Little did we know that this hotel actually is the one in his painting over the village of Stockbridge. We had a small room on second floor with ensuite bathroom - there are rooms without a bathroom as well. Our room was like staying with an old aunt, with rose...

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! One of our guesthouses, which we call The Firehouse, is actually the old firehouse in Stockbridge, Mass., & it is featured in another Norman Rockwell painting called “The New American LaFrance is Here!” It is right around the corner from the Main Inn building on Elm Street and boasts our only in-room...

We had a lovely stay at the Red Lion Inn. I was surprised to find that it's quite a quirky place, and, as another reviewer stated, it was "like going back in time." I felt like it was the year 1900 in there. The highlights for me are the old elevator, the restaurant, the fireplace, and the bar with uneven...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We offer live entertainment every night in The Lion’s Den – never a cover charge! Our Courtyard dining and Back of the Bank Bar will be opening Memorial Day Weekend. These outside dining spots are very popular in the warmer weather. We look forward to seeing you sometime soon!

This is one of the oldest, continuously operating inns in the U.S. A number of presidents and celebrities have stayed here. I am neither, but I was made to feel like one! Reception was very nice. The ride to the fourth floor in the antique cage elevator reminded me of many small London hotels I have stayed in. The room...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Berkshires are a hotspot for culture with places like Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Company, and The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center right around the corner (just to name a few!). We have been known to host presidents in the...

Who knew something from 1773 could be so fun?! I've stayed in the Inn and Maple Glen and had fun each time. Whether it's early Spring or late Fall, the heated pool and hot tub are awesome and open until midnight. Breakfast or an evening drink on the front porch is a must. There isn't much to do in town,...

I am late with this review, because we were there nearly a year ago with my dad and two bigger children and really enjoyed the place. We had rooms in the main building which I absolutely recommend because this is what makes the place so different and charming. Everything is old-fashioned and so quaint. We had dinner in the tavern...

Our three day stay began on Easter evening. The restaurant was very busy that evening but for the remainder of our stay the hotel was very quiet and not crowded. We enjoyed our room with its iron bed, marble-topped dresser, old desk and also, wing chairs by the fireplace. Our bathroom contained not only a modern style tub but also...

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us over the Easter holiday! The Inn is certainly filled with all sorts of interesting pieces. For example, on the second floor, Norman Rockwell pencil drawings line the hallway & a curio cabinet near the back stairway displays the vintage porcelain...

My husband and I stayed here over my birthday weekend (the hotel left a bottle of wine for us in the room to celebrate). It was quite cold outside (-9 one night), but the rooms have gas fireplaces in it, so it was quite cozy and romantic. Red Lion is an colonial-era inn, so the rooms and the lobby are...

Returned to RLI for another milestone anniversary... it was just as terrific as the last time (five years ago). We booked a king suite, which had a gas fireplace and was roomy. The bed was very comfortable. There are several restaurants from which to choose: we visited the tavern and the Lion's Den, the latter of which had evening entertainment....
