This amazing motel was nothing short of perfect- and with the renovations they are doing, next year it will be hard to find an available room here!!! This sparkling clean motel is in the heart of the main Yarmouth shopping area. So different than a standard 'motel'- for starters, no icky carpet but instead, new faux-wood flooring. Coastal decor and white wood walls are accented by a pedestal sink, comfortable printed side chairs, and metal/glass coffee table. The rooms have large windows with both blinds and blackout curtains. Each room has an outside seating area with wooden table and chairs for their use. We were on the road side but there was very little night noise. Decent size outdoor pool with several cozy seating areas scattered around the building, tables with chairs and couches. The owner Jay is just the most lovely, friendly woman who greeted us upon our stay and gave us a tour the next morning. And it's dog friendly (for a small extra charge). We had a lovely continental breakfast of fresh individually wrapped blueberry or chocolate chip muffins, fresh bananas and apples, very good coffee, and OJ. As an added bonus, we got to preview the renovations being done and WOW!!!! New bedding, wine racks and Ikea-style armoires, coastal art, glass enclosed tiled showers, high end toilets, and more...Book now before they sell out every weekend!!…
We booked this little jewel online. From the minute we arrived we could tell this was no ordinary hotel/ motel. All the little touches and how well cared for everything is. We travel all over the world and look for little places like this. The library area us charming! The pool is clean. A fire on a Saturday night under the full moon! Wow. Shuffleboard, basketball or board games. How awesome. Nothing less than hospitality. Some people make their work their life. #blessed... Room 12..
We stayed here a couple nights because we are restoring a cottage on the cape and live out of town. The rooms are very clean and well cared for. I could make this place amazing with some extra touches. All the rooms needs coffee makers and coffee, tea, etc. additionally put a couple bottled of water in the mini fridge, furthermore, the beds are not the best. If I were going to pay peak season prices I would look elsewhere, for the off season it did the trick, one more thing if you get the rooms in the front next to the main road I hope you are a heavy sleeper!
We spent 2 nights at Veranda in January while visiting the Cape for a family event. As other reviews mentioned, it is a vintage style motel that the new owners are renovating. The king bed and beddings were comfortable and clean. The bathroom had been recently updated with new sink and toilet. A spacious shower had a new 21st century adjustable large shower head. The fridge also appeared new. Plus, the rate was really reasonable. In the morning they leave out coffee, orange juice, fruit and cookies in the lobby. It sits off Rte 28 but road noise was no problem. The owners are a lovely couple, very friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond. What a difference from a cookie cutter chain hotel!
We stayed one night over thanksgiving with our small dog and were very impressed. This is an old school motel but it has been nicely updated with modern fixtures, colors, etc. The room was very clean and the heat worked. There were no bedbugs which was my number one main worry, you never know these days! In the morning there was fruit and coffee and this absolutely wonderful apple cake (don’t know whether it was store bought or homemade, but it was fabulous). Its not the hilton or the ritz but it was the best you could possibly expect for the price point, so we were very satisfied.
