Pialba Beachfront Tourist Park comes highly recommended by guests for its service, as the staff is frequently praised for their exceptional helpfulness and friendliness. The hotel's prime location is a hit among families for its easy access to nearby attractions and stunning views. This park has excellent customer service, 100 percent dedication to making your stay as memorable and enjoyable as possible. We extended our stay twice, and also were granted late checkout.. The grounds are kept immaculate.

We had site 38. Perfect position just opposite facilities block, bins, we could see the water one row back, BBQ and seating right next to us. Even though peak period in Jan holidays 2025 the park wasn’t packed.

The position of the park and the way it’s set out allows for every site to have access to wonderful coast/beach views, water access at their finger tips (only 3-5 rows max from the waters edge depending on where in the park you are)

There are plenty of bathroom facilities, they are older and slightly run down but keep very clean and tidy all in working order. We had no issues using them.

The washer and dryers have large capacity, all worked $4 per cycle each ($1 coins needed)

The common room wasn’t great TV, lounge, pool table all in bad shape. We only used this area while waiting for washing machine to finish.

There is a small playground for little kiddos, NO POOL

I’m looking forward to our next visit.

This park receives a 4 star rating from me, primarily due to its location, the quality of its amenities and general tidiness and maintenance. The downsides however, are the excessive rules and over enthusiastic manner in which they are enforced by some staff members. The speed of 8 KPH is acceptable, however the estimation of that speed by certain staff members is over the top. I witnessed this same staff member bombastically dressing down patrons on two separate occasions, whereas in my opinion they were within the speed limit. I witnessed the same staff member flying around the park on his electric garden tractor, towing a trailer at a speed at least double what he had chastised patrons for doing.
My highest criticism however, is for some of the sites. We were put on site 52 under a very large Banyon like tree which happened to the roosting place for some of the local Ibis (Bin Chicken). The outfall from their horrendous droppings rendered our caravan, annex and car with whitewash as efficiently as if it had been spray painted. Worse still was the resin like substance either from the bird droppings or directly from tree. It took many applications of WD40 and much elbow grease to finally remove it. What ever you do, DON’T ACCEPT THIS SITE or any beneath similar trees. What was so annoying is the staff member who put us on this site was well aware of how bad it was. OH, and the other problem was the stench from the bird droppings.

Thankyou for taking the time to leave your review Louis and we really do appreciate the 4 stars. We will take your words into consideration during our next team meeting to ensure all staff are approaching our concerns with the rules in an appropriate manner. My apologies for the local Ibis, unfortunately they do not have an exact routine on when and where they roost, and we do try our best to keep the most affected sites vacant when we know this is a problem. We do hope you come back and enjoy the rest of the park again in the future.

We had a great site and even though it wasn’t beachfront, it was close to the beach path and amenities. There’s enough amenity blocks to use with ease without a backlog of people. We have e-bikes and the cycle path goes from the caravan park to Urangan Pier and beyond. Easy walk to Coles and good massage place - Hervey Bay Thai Massage. Every facility is old but clean. We were at the front of the park near the water and could hear the traffic noise, so that could be a problem if your site is near the main road.

We did not enjoy the bays along the busy road. Way too noisy also extremely difficult to put a 21 foot caravan in a bay designed for 16foot caravan’s. The ground was chewed up and muddy under foot. The bathrooms are outdated broken washing machines. We approached the office for a different location to be advised they were fully booked but in truth there were more than 45% empty. Very disappointed.

Just didn’t have those camping feels. Safety and theft was drilled into us on arrival as the park is open and anyone can walk through. Camping with kids is already a challenge to also have to pack everything away all the time and I didn’t feel the kids were safe to go to the bathroom on their own or me go and leave them. The kids werent allowed to ride their bikes and there wasn’t much for them to do. No school holiday activities or anything organised. Heavy traffic noise (sirens and hoons). No kettle

Positives
Right on the water, BBQs, microwave, nice hot showers, guests were quiet (no partying), close to everything.

We booked for 7 but only stayed 2 nights. Hervey Bay wasn’t for us in general.

Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review Inspire61594266557. It is unfortunate you felt Hervey bay was not for you. Local Council puts on multiple activities throughout the region during the school holidays encouraging guests to explore the area. We understand the challenge of having to pack away of an evening especially with kids, we try our best to keep the park as secure as possible including multiple security patrols throughout the night by management and security contractors. I do hope you enjoyed the rest of your school holiday trip.

A bit old but well kept & we had a great spot. what blew us away was we rode our push bikes from the van up the council cycle/walking paths to Torquay & back which was great. The whole time we dodged other riders, walkers & dogs, no problem but upon Re-entering the park, which was quiet, no need to dodge anything, we were pulled up by the manager & told to get off & walk for our own safety. We found out all the council caravan parks have a no bike, scooter or skateboard rule so if you have kids who do normal kids stuff, not ideal. There must be a petty, mean spirited local council WH&S officer making the rules.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review 328geoffm. We are grateful for you kind words about the caravan park and love that you enjoyed your spot. Council are very safety conscious within their parks and also encourage guests to utilise the community areas such as the Bike Path, playgrounds and Wetside along the entire Esplanade. We hope to see you again in the future

Disappointing experience. The park is not child friendly.
We checked in and were told bikes absolutely forbidden because "it scares the elderly" and that "bikes will be confiscated if used by children around the park". We thought, oh well, there's the water park - turns out it is closed for winter, which was not communicated at all when booking! The playground was also out of action. Our kids were very disappointed so we decided to move to a child friendly park down the road. The staff insisted on charging us 50$ for the cancellation.

Recently stayed in this park and whilst it is a lovely spot with plenty of good shady spots one which we had requested. We were disappointed in the fact that we had booked 6 months ahead and for four nights and given a site that was extremely hot with no shade while others came and went around us. It was that hot we spend most afternoons inside our van with the aircon on which in return would have cost the park more in running costs.

We were given an absolutely beautiful site, right on the water for 5 nights, but decided that it was just not long enough (even despite the inclement weather)! The colours and the tides seemed to change every few minutes and the walks on the sandbanks at low tide were lovely.
A big thank you to the Managers for enabling us to extend our stay in a very busy holiday period. It was much appreciated and we were sorry to leave. Our caravan is self-contained, so we used the power and water but did not need the other amenities.
Except for the laundry, where several washers and dryers were "out of order". We understand the Park is to undergo a full transformation and trust the laundry situation will be remedied. A very neat and well-kept park and we can't wait to return!

We had a family holiday at the park and I couldn't have been happier! We had 4 sites 197, 198, 199 & 200. We were stones throw from the beach and very close to the amenitites. Staff were great, prices are great!
Perfect spot for a family holiday, the grandchildren loved the water park situated next to the park and the cafe next to the water park had delicious food! I would highly recommend this park as a great place to stay!

Theft is a problem in any caravan park - you just have to be vigilant and lock things away at night. Of all the Hervey Bay caravan parks, this is probably the quietest of the beachfront ones also.....
