Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thank you John for accommodating us and our two dogs when we couldn't get to our farmstay we had booked due to floodwaters. John happily helped us out llate in the evening just after a blackout and gave us a comfy place to stay. Inglewood is a lovely town and we are glad we got the chance to have a look around. Thanks from Karen, John, Jess and Newbie.

Stayed at the Olympic in September '13 which travelling through town. First impression was less than great, but once I weighed up the room costs and what else was on offer in this small country town, added in the friendly staff and 2 or 3 quiet drinks, found myself quite comfortable in my surrounds.

The rooms are very basic with a bedroom and ensuite, but both were clean and as well appointed as can be expected from budget accomodation. The couch in the room was old and in desperate need of replacement, but the bed was comfortable and the airconditioning was cold.

Overall, not high on my list of must visit accomodations, but if you are in need of a comfortable room at a budget price, I would stay here again.

Stayed at this motel as only other one is a bit out of town and no dining facilities that I could see. Street appeal probably not great but price was. Room could do with a freshen up, could start with replacing the quite tattered curtains, Room spacious, some work done in bathroom. IQ test to work out which tap was which, but I passed that. Great shower, air conditioner effective if a bit noisy. Piece de resistance was the little restaurant. Small but adequate menu, bangers and mash $10, and they were terrific. Easy to find issues but glad I stayed here, enjoyable! Inglewood is a delightful little town, well maintained with good facilities.

Inglewood is a small Queensland Country town and as such there are only two motels in town. We chose the Olympic because it was close by to family who reside there.

The motel from memory has only 12 rooms however, while being an older complex, the rooms were comfortable and clean with airconditioning and a swimming pool for the hotter summer months. Bearing in mind that it is located on the main street with semi trailers passing through constantly, it is best to get one of the rooms at far end of the motel. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are no places to dine out. Fortunately the motel does have a takeaway attached and we ordered a steak dinner which was delivered to our rooms, it was excellent and good value.

Overall for the price the motel served our needs, it was comfortable, reasonably quiet and we had a good rest before continuing our journey.

Will stay there next time we are visiting.

The staff was obliging and friendly. With exception of the noisy window-rattling air-conditioner the motel is good value with some nice little extras not normally found in country motels. Meals at the attached restaurant were good value, tasty and well presented. It was obvious that the owner/s are trying very hard to ensure the customers are happy.

We like this motel as it is a good stop before Brisbane after a long day on the road.
We can park our truck in off the road, have a feed at our "doorstep", and a good nights sleep in a very tidy and comfortable room. Tariffs are very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and make you want to put The Motel Olympic on your favourite list.
The Olympic Restaurant on the premises, has a lovely "Country Food" menu and very reasonably priced.

A big thank you to JOHN for help the other night. We hit a kangaroo and limped into Inglewood to the Olympic Motel. Recommended by lovely local country folk who stopped to help. John had kindly agreed to our car being left at the Motel awaiting pickup. Room clean and comfortable. Can't comment on the dining options as we didn't use it but other comments seem to suggest it is all of a good standard. Would totally recommend to anyone passing through and needed a bed overnight. Once again John thank you so much for all your help.
Cheers Coryn and Ross

6 of us dined in and were really impressed by the size of meals, even the detail put into the salads! I was really appreciative of the stuffed zucchini, thanks so much, it was tasty and again I could tell the detail put into it ☺️ Also have to mention the competitive price bottle of wine for $22. Easily costs more than that in Brisbane usually.

A few adjustments going on when I visited, a few minor things amiss in the room but nothing major. Pool available if you want it. Staff were friendly, bed comfy, restaurant on site handy to have, food was good and well priced. George the owner, down to earth and very helpful.

A lovely little workers hotel. Nothing flash but clean and had everything we needed after a day travelling. Bed was super comfy and the shower was hot.

The Cafe serves the most amazing food, I highly recommend eating there or getting your meal to your room.
