You will love this inn located in the perfect spot in beloved Provincetown. This inn is run by wonderful owner and manager, NOT by a corporation. We always get a room on the ocean side ; but if you get any room, you would have access to the huge front porch which is a unique fe

The Anchor Inn is a great inn to stay at both during the summer and in the off-season. Rooms on the back side of the building have spectacular views of the harbor. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere!

Wow BeachesAreBest123! Thanks for the review and feedback!! To say that we do not care about our guests is extremely insulting and just untrue!!! Please keep in mind this was a holiday weekend (Thanksgiving) so we were not able to get a technician in to address the situation with the fireplace - which we did apologize for more than once and did try to fix. Your reservation was made thru Expedia for a queen town view room - which when you arrived was the first time and only mention about your need of being on the first floor because of a recent surgery. Since we originally had you on the top floor and the only other room that we had available because of the holiday was 105 (which was out of service as we were using this room for storage and supplies to decorate for the holidays) - we then moved EVERYTHING out of the room (which you noticed and commented on) to accommodate you being on the first floor. You never mentioned anything about the residue from the water in the tub while you were here - and if you did I would have explained this does occasionally happen when the town has done recent work on the water main or even occasionally when the water in the building hasn't been used to its maximum and the water will run clear if you let it run for a bit.

Is smoking allowed outside on the balcony?
I'm not sure to be honest. I didn't notice signs out on the balcony

How far is the hotel from the town please, as we are arriving by bus.
From where the bus arrives and departs we are about a 5-7 minute walk. There are also taxis available as well if you would prefer not to walk with your luggage.

Is there parking available at the inn or nearby?
Thanks for checking with us. We do have limited parking available on site for $10 a day. When you make your room reservation we would ask if you would need parking for your stay with us and reserve you a parking space as well.

can you bring a small dog?
As the others suggested, I would call and talk to the owners!
