Hi, my name is Sunjun Chung and I have traveled to almost all parts of Bali. However, Aksari resort had the best facilities and staff I've ever seen in my experience as a traveler. All the staffs were very friendly and by our 3rd day, they've made us feel like friends. All the staff seemed to work very hard everyday, especially the front office, to make our stay the best as possible. There were times where we had trouble opening the safe two times, but the staff had come to our room to help right away. The room was the cleanest place I've stayed in. Most resorts in the middle of the forest are filled with bugs, but the staff here have managed to keep it clean. All of the food we tried from the beginning till the end were amazing. The spa was also very relaxing and all the therapist were very well trained and friendly, especially Gusti Ayu. The resort is very small and may get repetitive by the fourth or fifth day, but that has benefits too. Due to its small amount of room capacity, none of the facilities were crowded and very quiet, perfect for some relaxation. The resort was a bit far from ubud village and thus took some time traveling there and back. Because the resort is new, also, some taxi driver were confused at first. However, the transportation system that the resort had set up was very cheap (way cheaper than taxis we got from the village) and very accessible (the moment we asked for a driver, they were ready to take us there). Furthermore, being a bit far from the town is also a benefit as you wont hear any traffic. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who will be visiting ubud and my family and I will definetly come back.

I was here in Aksari Resort Ubud for 2 nights from 29 Jan 2020 - 31 Jan 2020.
The Lobby itself already awesome for me. The service from the reception area until the explanation from Mr Kyusa, the guest relationship officer cum receptionist, were perfect.
And the ride in the buggy car towards my room is another experience.
The property location is not anywhere near the Ubud Centre, it take about 30 minutes from there. But in positive side, it means a privacy is guaranteed!

We stayed at Suite Forest View with Public Infinity Pool. The room is more than i expected. Spacious, Clean, and that bathtub with a view is something that i really adore.
Alexa will be a loyal friends if the rain hits the resort. Alexa was playing my fave songs while I dipped myself in the bathtub with Aksari Ubud Resort special blends of shower gel. It relaxed me.
Totally love the breakfast, which you have to ordered the day before to make sure they prepare for you on the netx day.
And the best way to spend your staycation over here is to enjoy longer in their public Infinity Pool. It's so beautiful.
It consists of Jacuzzi Pool, Kids Pool and Adult Pool.

For sure, i'll be back to Aksari Resort Ubud!

After booking a 5 night stay with aksari we encountered our first problem before we even arrived after the hotel decided to cancel our booking with no real attempts to contact us, we fortunately came across a junk email stating it had been cancelled and managed to resolve the issue ourselves as we were really keen to stay at the hotel.
Upon arrival, we were amazed by the resort so didn't think too much into it when we were told our room wasn't ready (at 4pm) so we patiently waited after a long journey.
After this the problems just seemed to pile up. The breakfasts are maybe some of the worst we have ever had, they are cold, served with hairs on and the bacon is a shade of color that meat should never be,we had to ask for things to be reheated constantly and I can safely say in the 5 nights we stayed here we didn't enjoy 1 breakfast.
The food on a whole is just an issue in itself, you pay an extortionate amount of money for try-hard presentation which the chefs/wait staff spend so long photographing amongst all the flies that it is cold by the time it reaches your table.
We decided to treat ourselves with a trip to the spa which the lady said to us was a 2 for 1 offer on massages (her english was not good). After confirming it was in fact on all massages we booked them for the next day,we were then charged double than expected and the woman seemed completely clueless when we tried to challenge her on this and just kept saying 'no' which is very frustrating when you are trying to communicate with someone. We were then told by the resort managers that refunds were not possible once something was in the system so we got a small percentage of our money back to spend on one dish of their cold overpriced food.
We came to this venue based on their outstanding 10/10 reviews on agoda, we have now realised since staying here it is because they try and bribe you into leaving 5 star reviews in order to get a free crappy dessert or card. One member of staff even had the cheek of telling us to give them 5 stars after all of the issues we have encountered rather than actually trying to offer something to resolve it. After receiving our review cards we witnessed a member of staff read it out loud while shaking his head and rolling his eyes but then acted like all was ok instead of asking us what could have been improved. The staff around the hotel try and some have been really lovely and helpful but most give the impression they have never worked in hospitality before in their lives and trying to get information about transport and tours etc is next to impossible due to the language barrier.

There's no denying the whole resort is amazing and a special place to stay, the rooms are really nice, the infinity pools and forest feel is also amazing. They also offer free yoga every morning which we tried with Putu and thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen and communication are major let downs though and it is such a shame as there are no other restaurants near by. We have enjoyed our stay here but wouldn't reccomend to friends or family, it has cost us a fortune to stay here for what has been not much more than a disappointment.

Dear Jannah2625, Thank you for your recent stay with us and your feedback. I sincerely regret your experience did not meet your expectations as we are striving for all our guests to enjoy a fantastic time with us. We are deeply apologetic that the eagerness and desire to be pro-active and provide good service to you has been misunderstood as intrusive. I assure you that it is just a misunderstanding and we are all truly sorry that your otherwise enjoyable stay ended on such a sour note. We are also very sorry to learn that the apology and level of care extended, was deemed inadequate. I assure you that everyone working at Aksari Resort Ubud here strives to ensure the best possible experience for all of our guests. I have met with each team member involved and shared your review and feedback with them. It is important for each one of us to understand your point of view and how it made you feel. We are all very sorry that this event put such a terrible blemish on an otherwise pleasant stay resulting in a two star rating from you. I sincerely hope that you will consider staying with us again and allow us the opportunity to make up for this one blemish on your otherwise enjoyable stay. Kind regards, Made Nurhadi Resort Manager

5/5 100% Reccomended. WOW. I have never been so far away from Chicago and dreamed to end up somewhere so beautiful at such a last minute plan that I put together 3 weeks before even deciding to come to Bali.

Arriving, me and my wife showed up at 2-3 ish am and they were still so kindly to check us in and escort us to our villa. The included breakfast is absolutely delicious with juices and amazing cappachinos. From traditional american style eggs and bacon to bali traditional breakfast rice and eggs or noodles. Dont forget to book a floating breakfast either at your private pool or any of the main pools!

The service was outstanding, everyone was so kind and respectful and make you feel so warm. They always remember what your name is and where you are staying and will always ask what else they can do to make your stay better or too clean the room when you leave for activities.

Despite being american cost, the not included Japanese and Traditional style restaurants (2 total) were delicious and worth the money. We ordered hookah on the side and drinks were always spot on. The extra massage service we booked was on the pricier side, but oh my god at two and a half hours of the romantic jungle massage was the best I ever had. Body scrub, oils of different smells you can choose from and a custom flower decorated spa bath was so relaxing.

There are many spots to take amazing photos so explore everywhere! Despite being high in the jungle hills and having no guard rails around the restaurants and yoga/private space you still feel safe. If you are bringing kids it wouldn’t be the best idea they could easily walk off a higher part and why bring a kid! Enjoy this spot romantically to get the most out of it!

All my tour guides for activities were able to pick me up easy here and being at the center of Ubud, location is great to a lot of areas.

Our private villa with pool was stunning, clean and large and was the coolest spot I’ve stayed at. We only had one issue with our toilet leaking a bit of water but everything else was great. The first night they gave us fresh little cookies which was a nice greeting. The room was always spotless and tended attentively.

Overall, check in to see the amazing entryway that overlooks the villas and infinity pools to check out with farewell from all staff was just something that made it that much more special. I would recommend Aksari Ubud to anyone that is looking for a Jungle escape that makes you fee special and comfortable from coming from as far away as the US. Would love to return someday!

This was first hotel stay during the corona pandemic. I booked the basic forest view room with a fantastic locals only special.

The hotel is gorgeous, well maintained, with lovely attention to detail (Amazon Alexa in your room, yoga mats, lots of instagram worthy spots, etc). They kept the AC running so the room was always cool and it was just very luxurious. It's also very private and is a perfect destination for honeymoon, romantic weekend away, etc. Just note you are in the middle of nowhere, so be prepared to eat at the restaurant, or bring your own food.

In terms of new normal, I'd rank the hotel a 3.5/5. Many new precautions were in place such as hand washing stations, QR codes to scan and social distancing. I just noticed that staff did not seem very conscientious about wearing their masks consistently. I saw the receptionists take them off while talking to guests, the restaurant staff weren't wearing them (until serving you) so for me this is an area that could be improved.

I have no words for this place! The atmosphere and the view are amazing. Never have I experienced a resort like Aksari. The staff was so kind and tried to make every wish come true. They speak perfectly english. We arrived early so we could enjoy the pool while waiting for our room to be ready. Though the check in was at 2 Pm, they managed that we could move into our room earlier. The food is very very good. They offer floating breakfast and flower baths in your own room. It takes about 30 minutes to get the bathtube ready and it looked very beautiful. Only thing bad about it was that the water was freezing cold, so I would suggest to ask the guests in advance if they would prefer cold or warm water. They have mosquito sprays in the room and even an Alexa system. Be aware that not all credit cards work there !! we had maestro and mastercard with us and none of them worked! The card reading device is very old and not european standard. The wifi - card - function don't work and even with typing in the pin the cards were not accepted. So it would be better to have enough cash with you. Apart from this we loved every single minute und would come back any time!

i was waiting for a while to be able to check in at 03:00 pm, there were only 6 rooms occupancy. The staff was all very friendly. However, to let the guest with reservation to check in 30 minutes earlier will be counted as “welcoming and added value in service”, why not, extend the service. Then while waiting for the room to be ready, decided to have lunch, Crispy Duck, oh my good, it was so good. The only thing missing was, again, extra touch, 2 or 3 minutes after serving, the waiter/ess must come and asked how it was, i wanted to have a drink, no water, no offer, anyway, it was still excellent. This resort is far nicer then many other resorts arround. I wonder, there must be an expat behind this secluded, beautiful, art of work
resort, not underestimating the local skills, I am a local my self. Then, after lunch, had a long walk to small villages, very impressive Balinese Villages, Delod Belumbang, wow, so amazing. I kept looking and all the villages are so artistic, rice paddies, beautiful temples, busy Balinese with carving, am so impressed. I believe it is my fault, spending too much time on the beaches in the south. Well, evening coming, decided to try to have dinner, Macallan 12, they have open bottle, had a drink first, before ordering my favourite Caesar Salads to start, then again, this resort is having a very good cook, perhaps all of them are excellent, The Grilled Salmon fillet came perfect and tasted so fresh like having dinner in Sitka, Alaska. Last but not least, the Room is great, clean, well designed, with Alexa touches next to your bed, what you can expect more. is a WOW. This morning, i had breakfast, out of this world, so impressive and I had
to meet the Chef, all excellent, Bravo guys, great resort, great food, excellent service and will return soon, not for a night but longer 👍🙏🙏

Me and my friend just checked out from a wonderful overnight stay at Askari. Teddy and his team were attentive and ensured all our needs were fulfilled. Covid procedures were perfect and I felt safe at all times. The hotel itself is beautiful and the grounds are meticulously kept. The bed linens soft and the bath water warm. Mini bar prices were reasonable and the room service Chicken Cashew was delicious and thoughtfully presented. All signs of a perfect stay for me. Our room was located next to a waterfall and it was an incredible sight to see. I will return.

This place is quite for from the city but this place is worth. The room is excellent, it has Alexa (electronic assistance like Siri), they also have a good quality speaker. They also provide toothpaste and toothbrush, showe cap, cotton bud, cottons, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and tissue. The most amazing was I have waterfall view from my bathroom so I can enjoy it while having bubble bath. The restaurant was also very amazing. Then, most of all their staffs are friendly 🤩
