Had a very pleasant 2-night stay at this B&B. Stayed in one of their 2-BR suites which consists of small parlor, bedroom and bath on one floor and bedroom and bath in a loft reached by circular stair. The buildings were originally built for mill workers, and so are not luxurious. But, they have been loving converted to preserve some...

Dear Rooz, Thank you for this thoughtful review of the Porches Inn. We're very glad to hear you enjoyed your two-bedroom suite and our proximity to both MASS MoCA and the Clark Art Institute--contemporary art and Impressionism at their very best. Please come see us again the next time you're on the East Coast. Best regards, Kim

I make it a point to visit Mass MOCA every year and always look forward to staying at Porches. All amenities are luxurious in an understated way. The breakfast is good and staff always ready to answer any questions or assist in any way. A hand made chocolate left on your pillow when they turn down your bed is the...

The Porches Inn is a very modern establishment, very clean and well run, friendly helpful staff, nice casual bar for a nightcap. We were in the grey house, first floor. Downside, and only a minor point, no coffee or tea facilities in the room, breakfast is a self service buffet but good enough. Only ten easy minutes walk from restaurants.

Dear hottubman, We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay at the Porches Inn. It's true our rooms don't have coffee makers, but during the fall we serve hot cider, tea and cookies in the lobby throughout the day. Given your handle, is it safe to assume you made the most of our hot tub? We certainly...

We enjoyed our stay at The Porches, a row of renovated and beautifully updated Victorian houses. The staff were relaxed and welcoming. Our suite was well appointed and comfortable. The facilities, including pool, sauna and workout room, looked to be of a very good standard, we'll be sure to make the most of them on another visit. Our room was...

A wonderfully unique property with lovely amenities. Walk to MASS MoCA, downtown dining while surrounded by mountains, forests and beautiful scenery. Delicious continental breakfast. Rent a DVD and hang out in the room or walk to the local cinema.

If you are visiting Mass MoCA this is a perfect place to stay. We've been here 3 times and are always pleased with the room. We always get a one bedroom suite. The bathrooms have a real tub/jacuzzi, so if you like a long soak after a busy day you can enjoy in private.

Very clean and friendly with interesting decor. Good restaurants within walking distance - advised by the staff. Don't be put off by initial impressions of the area: the apparently derelict factory opposite is in fact a thriving Arts Centre and contains an outstanding restaurant.

Dear D263SRjohnc, Thank you for the glowing recommendation. You are quite right, MASS MoCA is a thriving center for contemporary art, and it's about to double in size. Shows of particular interest at the moment are Alex Da Corte's "Free Roses" and Nick Cave's "Until." There are actually two very good restaurants on the museum's campus, as well as a...

This was the most expensive hotel per night on a 14 day trip. It had a shabby chic decor, some rooms had porches (not ours) and it had bath robes in the bathroom. We loved the feel of the bedding and liked the eclectic art. The breakfast was good and varied – yogurt, granola, bread, muffins, cereals, fruit and an...
