Lovely, clean room on a quiet street right across the water with a pretty view of the park and marina. We stayed on a Thursday and Friday night at the end of June. The Inn is above a restaurant and bar, which had live music on weekends. On Thursday evening we dined in the restaurant, and the meal was excellent!...

This is an old, historic inn with just a few rooms and a bar and restaurant downstairs. We had a nice stay here. Our room was very nice with historic touches. Our visit was on the weekend, so there was music downstairs in the bar. It wasn't too loud, though, and lulled me to sleep. We didn't eat in the...

Stay only one night, and had dinner. The food was so good and beautifully presented. The staff was lovely. The room I stayed in was directly above the lounge - note...if they have a band in the evening, it will be loud in that room. The staff warned me, but I paid no mind, but they were right. Very accommodating,...

This great little inn has only a couple rooms and the only restaurant & bar in the old town. Having had a nice lunch there on a couple of occasions we were traveling to the area and decided to get a room with some character rather than staying at a typical motel. The place was old but the staff was...

The website for this place is very deceiving. There is fresh paint (nice color choices), new bed linens, renovated bath,& beautiful view of the water but that is where the good part ends. It wasn't until after I pre-paid & checked in that I noticed a hidden sign that said in order to keep the historic ambience of the Inn...

Extremely disappointing! We understand that historic often means old and worn, but the carpet looked like it hadn't been replaced in 20-30 years. it was dirty and threadbare. The floors beneath it were uneven and dangerous. Although the bed was nicely made up when we arrived, they didn't make the bed or give us fresh towels, even after we asked...

On Memorial Day Monday after a wedding weekend in New Port, we headed out for a day/night on the coast before heading up to Boston on Tuesday. We drove into Mattapoisett thinking it was time to find a place to stay for the night. Came up on The Inn on Shipyard Park. While an older inn it was perfect for...

I recently stayed here while on business and would return tomorrow if I could for a relaxing vacation in this beautiful, quiet old village on a stunning harbor. The Inn combines modern amenities with Colonial charm and the pub gets 4 stars from me for the best crab cakes I've ever had and its attentive, friendly service. Only downside was...
