No cold water. Stains on the curtains and cigarette holes in the bed sheets. Strong smell of marijuana in the room. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Not to mention the rude staff. Spend the extra money and go somewhere decent!More

There are only two smoking rooms available at howard Johnson . The recent legalization of marijuana in ma. has defeat us new challenge in odor elimination. It is a very strong and lingering odor and we have purchased a special machine to deal with it....More

I am shocked and dismayed by the undiplomatic (to say the least) response in broken English to a potentially valued client, and will try to get an explanation from the HJ manager when I stay there once again this summer.

I think he was referring to my review thinking I was paid to write a bad review but I only write actual facts. We checked in, started up the jacuzzi, got in, and it was cold. So I had my husband go to the office to see if there was a problem. They did not know why it was cold nor could they fix it, so we left. The manager should check the reservation before saying I was writing it for a perk.
