We stayed for three days in this warm, comfortable, beautifully furnished historical house. The room and all of its amenities were exactly as advertised on the web site, and we were immediately very much at home. The inn keeper and her staff were exceptionally attentive and warm and yet gave us all the privacy we wanted. Wonderful fireplaces throughout the...

My wife and I recently stayed at Birchwood in the spacious Dana room. Working fireplace, modern bathroom, and charming sitting area. Perfect location to walk to town. Breakfasts were creative and delicious. The midnight snacks were a treat. I bought two dozen cookies to bring home! Couldn't have been more comfortable--thank you Ellen and team!

My first time in a B&B....although I have traveled and stayed in many fine hotels. This old homs was reminiscent of a Currior and Ives post card.We were trying to catch the beauty of fall but missed the peak! Although disappointed, the stay at this B&B made our visit to the area relaxing and enjoyable. The two large fireplaces made...

We regret that you missed peak foliage -- next time perhaps? We'll have to speak with Mother Nature about her lack of good timing! We hope that the cookies, fireplaces, and breakfasts took the edge off your disappointment.

We just spent three great days at The Birchwood Inn where we had fabolous breakfast everyday. We were excellently treated by the staff and the Inn is beautiful. Ellen treated us as family and we cannot wait to go back, bring friends and family for a longer stay.

We enjoyed our weekend at the Birchwood Inn. The Inn Keepers are very friendly. The room was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was incredible! Both mornings we awoke to the aroma of baked goods wafting up the stairwell to the 3rd floor. The inn is conveniently located, easy to get to and close to a large variety of attractions in Lenox,...

The perfect location in Lenox - walking distance to all the quaint shops and eateries you cannot do better. We stayed in the coach house which is lovely but a bit noisy with the thin floorboards above. Would love to experience the inn building next time. Breakfast is absolutely divine as well as teatime treats! It was lovely to be...

We are so happy you felt at home at Birchwood Inn and enjoyed the breakfasts and afternoon tea. I'm not quite sure how to respond to your concern regarding noise above you as I am the one who lives on the second floor of the carriage house. As it's just me -- generally I don't watch TV or play music...

Yes this is a lovely inn and it is centrally located to be able to walk to the restaurants and shops in Lenox. It does have several drawbacks. The major one is that it is right next to major road and on a hill. You will hear significant road noise until late at night and then starting 5am the next...

This inn has the perfect balance of comfort and charm without the decor of doilies and dolls other places may feature. Comfortable but not excessively "quaint." The public rooms are especially spacious - a well-furnished library, veranda and cozy sitting room. Our room was a few steps from the main house and thus very quiet. Ellen and Mike deserve all...

Ellen, Mike and Dave customized our breakfasts to accommodate several food allergies, and everything they served us was amazing. Our favorite treat was the Belgian peach pancake - OMG delicious!!
