We received a gift certificate as a wedding present for a stay at the Apple Tree Inn. We went there in October and stayed in the lodge. The room was fine with view on a bunch of trees but there was nothing much to complain about. The owner, who looked indeed like the Inn handyman and could be called "Mr...

The guests visited the Apple Tree Inn at two really beautiful times of year, fall with the beautiful mountain views of the changing foliage, and summer, the flowers were particularly lush this year and the pool is unsurpassed. Many guests say it is like an infinity pool disappearing into the mountains beyond. We are really sorry that some small issues...

Stayed here twice, both times around xmas just for a nice snowy weekend in the berkshires. good rates in the winter, and we stayed in the lodge both times which was nice. Unfortunately, the second time we stayed in December 2012, there was a big family having a reunion there and taking up the ENTIRE inn. their stuff was everywhere...

We are happy that the guests enjoyed their two prior stays at the Apple Tree Inn and am truly sorry that their December stay was less than enjoyable. They are absolutely correct that they should have been warned that there was a family reunion taking most of the rooms. We usually do try to warn guests about weddings and other...

The Main building is really nice, the entry the common rooms, the dining room is really classic New England charming. I think that if they put that much cleanliness and care into the rooms themselves this place could be OK. Room 107 with a "woods view" was so nasty. We looked out at about a foot of standing water right...

We always want our guests to be happy, which is why we offered these guests 3 different rooms and would have offered them more had they let us know that they were still not satisfied. That is why we did not charge them for the upgrade to the Main House. The additional charge on their room bill was for the...

I only stayed at the Apple Tree Inn for one night, but I really enjoyed the experience! I stayed at the cottage. The room was beautiful. The bed was beautifully made, with nice frilly comforters and sheets. The room was really huge and it had a nice T.V. and other furnishings. Also, the bathroom was nice-sized and was pleasant. The...

This nice spot is a slow 10 minute walk to Kripalu just across the main drive. Did not stay in the main house. Receptionist quite unhelpful. The rooms are clean, pleasantly scent-free w/ soft cotton sheets (yea). The building reminds me of a lodge one might stay in while skiing in Vermont. You can hear other folks moving around in...

Cassandra was a wonderfully helpful and welcoming innkeeper; we felt taken care of when she was in the house. Unfortunately, around dinner time, there is a staff change and someone is paid to sit at the front desk. We saw 2 other front desk staff persons while we were there and they didn't greet us, say hello, ask if everyone...

My mid winter stay at the B&B was delightful. I was taking a program at Kripalu so was only sleeping at the Inn. My room was comfortable. I stayed on the third floor and was concerned that it might get too warm in the room but you are able to control your heat to your likely. The steps to the...

We were married at the Apple Tree Inn in September 2012 and were thrilled with the inn as our venue. We wanted our guests to have a quintessential Berkshires experience and the Apple Tree was the perfect choice. The location is superb - across the street from Tanglewood and Kripalu, a pleasant walk to Lenox town center, and minutes from...

We stayed here in Tanglewood season, having planned our trip a little late and being unable to get into our first choice accommodation. The Inn was a pleasant surprise. It is an old summer home, not quite of the level of Blantyre, etc., but very pleasant. It is a skip and uphill walk from Tanglewood Music Center, and the sound...

I stayed at the Apple Tree Inn for 3 nights while I was a day guest at Kripalu. I wanted basic, inexpensive, convenient, clean, and safe lodgings, and Apple Tree Inn provided all that and more. I stayed in the cheaper and more modern building, the Lodge, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the bed and bedding...
